fightline.com said:Michael Bisping's next opponent won't help him get any closer to a title shot in the UFC's middleweight division.
That's because "The Count's" next foe will come in the form of rehab after opting for surgery to repair a trapped nerve in his next. Bisping defeated Alan Belcher Saturday night at UFC 159: Jones Vs. Sonnen, and confirmed that surgery is in his future on FUEL TV's post-fight show.
"I have a condition called stenosis," Bisping said. "It's causing atrophy, which is muscle loss and weakness in my right arm and numbness."
The former Ultimate Fighter winner had mentioned the issue prior to facing Belcher, and added that he's "had this for a while. I fought Vitor (Belfort), I fought Brian Stann and I fought Chael Sonnen with this condition."
Bisping's yet to schedule the surgery but said it is just a "minor thing" and only expects to be out for a couple of weeks.
Surgery is no fun for anyone, who knows how long "The Count" is gonna be out for but I imagine he'll be back better than ever when he gets back!
