VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL (WFTV/CNN) -A Kansas woman was hospitalized after getting run over by a beach patrol truck in Florida.
Officials say Erin Joynt, 33, was lying on the sand when a truck driven by Tommy Modrie, 21, ran over her Sunday.
The woman's head was run over by the truck's right front tire after someone flagged Modrie and told him about broken glass in the sand, state troopers said.
Modrie has worked as a lifeguard for five years, and his boss says his record is spotless.
No charges have been filed in this accident.
County officials say the lifeguard was drug tested and sent home for the day, which is standard procedure
