It's been two months since we last heard from Gina Carano. After pulling out of her scheduled bout against Sarah D'Alelio, Carano's camp released the following cryptic statement:

"Gina is feeling much better after having undergone some medical attention and is looking forward to getting back into training very soon. She would like to express thanks to Team Jackson for a wonderful training camp, Strikeforce, and the fans."

That statement sent off rounds of speculation about the "medical attention" needed that forced her to pull out.

According to Dave Meltzer at the Wrestling Observer, the media will have the opportunity to skirt the issue this December. From yesterday's update:

The December Strikeforce show is set for 12/17. Gilbert Melendez vs. Jorge Masvidal for the lightweight title plus Gina Carano are targeted for that show.

Carano hasn't fought since losing to Cris "Cyborg" Santos in August of 2009. She appears in the Steven Soderbergh film Haywire, which is set to be released in the United States in January of 2012.
