Strikeforce continues to bolster their ranks with new signings, and these additions will be to their lightweight division. Earlier today they signed Brazilian Milton Vieira to a contract, following shortly by King of the Cage lightweight champion Bobby Green. And in a logical bit of matchmaking, they'll pair the two off at Strikeforce Challengers 18 on August 12th. MMA Junkie has it:

As www.mmajunkie.com reported earlier today, both KOTC lightweight champion Bobby Green (15-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and anaconda-choke inventor Milton Vieira (12-7-1 MMA, 0-0 SF) have signed multi-fight deal with Strikeforce.

Now they're expected to meet at Strikeforce Challengers 18.

Vieira is a 32-year-old who is a 10 year veteran of the sport. He has fought in Pride, DEEP, and a few Brazilian organizations. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak. Green is a former KOTC junior welterweight champion who lost his belt last October and decided to move down to 155. In his first fight there, he defeated Dominic O'Grady for their lightweight title. Green's most high-profile fight to date was a submission loss to Dan Lauzon at Affliction: Day of Reckoning in 2009.
