The pair traded vicious low kicks, each connection with a loud snap that echoed throughout the arena. Mein, switching stances, lanced in a few crisp punches and seemed to be finding his range, but "Cyborg" kicked his leg out from underneath him with a sweeping roundhouse and landed a right hand as Mein was standing back up. Maintaining his signature style of relentless pressure, Santos finished the round well with aggressive strikes.
Mein opened the second with a judicious selection of right hands, slipping most of Santos' punches, who continued to attack the lead leg. The Canadian youngster pieced a nice combination together and followed with a series of stiff body shots. Santos swept a nasty spinning back kick that just missed and then found the mark with his straight right. Mein, still showing the better economy in the pocket, answered with a spinning back fist that whiffed.
Swapping stances randomly, Mein continued to control the distance in the third with tight and crisp combinations, gradually increasing his pace. After finding the mark with more punches, Mein unleashed a furious volley of short right and left forearms, blasting ceaselessly through the weakening defense of Santos until the referee waved it off.
In an electric debut, Jordan "Young Gun" Mein finishes Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos by TKO in the third round.
