Strikeforce Challengers 17 didn't exactly light Las Vegas on fire on July 22nd. Despite doing slightly better numbers than usual in terms of TV ratings, the card did very poorly at the gate in their Vegas debut, selling just 458 tickets (1418 were comped) for a gate of $42,987.50. That's less than 10% of the gate that the TUF 13 Finale did in the same venue (Pearl at the Palms) just over a month ago. Ouch.
