The reason Hulk Hogan will be at the KENTA press conference tomorrow in Osaka is that the storyline, at least to the Japanese media, will be that KENTA will be the first WWE star signed by Hogan to WWE.
Jimmy Hart is with Hogan in Japan.

Kenta Kobashi was visiting at today's WWE event in Tokyo.

Since when does Hogan sign people? Is the story gonna be (when he debuts) that Hogan had faith in him or whatever? lol

I'd call it a ploy to keep Hogan playing ball. The dude likes a power stroke and this will be it.

This is gonna be good, if Kenta's coming to the WWE. The guy's great, for sure. But please, don't let Hogan anywhere near the ring or mic.

I guess he'll have to change his finisher(s), though. If he kept 'em, it'd be like Punk and Bryan never left. lol

All joking aside, Bryan vs Kenta would be something cool to watch, a PPV worthy match.

He should keep 'em. It makes for compelling TV and a reason for Punk and Bryan to feud with him.

Is there any reason as to why Hogan would have any associations or ties with KENTA? This seems random as hell.

My understanding is Hogan wrestled his best (technical) matches in Japan.
Japan's perception of him, thus, would make him more of the total package wrestler.

I'm aware of Hogan's work in Japan (although I find his work there seriously overrated), but I didn't figure that he kept up with talent that wrestled there to this day. I don't believe they've ever made reference on WWE television to Hogan working there.

He was booked for WWE's Japan tour to sell some tickets. So they had him show up at the press conference to make it seem more important. That's it. Why is everyone getting angry about this lol?

I don't think anyone's mad or anything, it just looks a bit random on paper. It does make sense for Hogan to be doing something there, might as well be this.

On an off note, Hogan's Japan work does suck. He wasn't a good technical wrestler, at all.

We're discussing this. We're boosting activity. It's what men do when we are at the water cooler. Someone asks why and another gives their take. You may say something I disagree with on the whole but their may be a nugget in your take I may have missed.
