Steve Carell May Have a No Good, Very Bad Day
Last May, director Lisa Cholodenko parlayed a Best Picture nomination for The Kids Are All Right into a gig helming the live-action adaptation of the classic Judith Viorst children’s book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Now, nearly a year later, she's finally got the star to topline it: Deadline reports that Steve Carell is in talks to come onboard the film. That reminds us: Whatever happened to the story last year that Winter's Bone director Debra Granik was going to follow up her Best Picture nomination with the family film Pippi Longstocking? Because that was one very unusual trendlet happening right there.
