The UFC added another bout to October's UFC 136 card this morning, this time in the middleweight division, where Steve Cantwell (7-4) will make his first cut to 185 lbs to take on Mike Massenzio (12-5):

Mike Massenzio and Steve Cantwell will look to get back to their winning ways this October at UFC 136.
"Verbal agreements are in for a middleweight match between two former light heavyweights, Mike ‘The Master of Disaster’ Massenzio and Steve ‘The Robot’ Cantwell at UFC 136 October 8," said UFC President Dana White.
This truly has to be a "loser gets cut" match-up, as Massenzio has already been released once by the UFC, only to be brought back as a short-notice replacement against Krzysztof Soszynski at UFC 131 where Massenzio lost a lopsided decision. It's likely that the New Jersey native is only getting another fight specifically because he did fill in on short notice and at a weight class higher than he normally competes.

Cantwell, meanwhile, is on a three fight losing streak, which is normally reason enough to be cut loose by the UFC, but perhaps the promotion is giving him another chance because his most recent fight came after a year-and-a-half layoff due to a serious, but still undisclosed, medical condition.

Here's how the October 8th card is currently shaping up:
