Stephan Bonnar and Dave Herman both tested positive for banned substances following their recent fights at UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar, according to MMAjunkie.com. The two were the lone fighters to fail the post-fight drug tests given.Bonnar, who announced his retirement earlier this week following his loss to Anderson Silva, tested positive for Drostanolone, an anabolic steroid. Herman, who was defeated by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, had marijuana metabolites in his system.

For both Bonnar (15-8) and Herman (21-5) this was a second failed drug test. "The American Psycho" also tested positive for an anabolic steroid following a loss to Forrest Griffin, while Herman failed a pre-fight test before a scheduled bout with Mike Russow.

This marks the second time Bonnar has failed a drug test after a fight, think it's the same type of steroid also. Kind of surprised by it actually.

Good time to retire for Bonnar when you get caught roiding. Just another blemish on what was a pretty unspectacular career really, he never beat anyone worth mentioning and apart from the fight with Forrest and Anderson's masterpeice against him he was never in too many big fights. Caught roiding twice and probably wasn't caught a fair few other times too.

Really hope Herman gets cut just to put the cherry on the cake, he was such a jackass in that fight.

Don't blame Bonnar for juicing at all, if I was retiring and had a small chance of getting a huge scalp like Anderson I'd do the exact same thing. Weird stat I saw on Twitter is that 4 of Andersons last 10 opponents failed a drug test after their fight

I called it during the fight that Herman was on something, he is now a great example of why fighters aren't allowed to use pot. It causes you to make dumb decisions.

Makes Bonnar's performance against Silva look even worse which I didn't think was possible.
