Fightful has learned that horror writer Rob Fee recently joined the company, starting full time work in October, and officially signing this week for the spot of Director of Longtime creative. Fee has worked as a horror writer for Marvel in the past and has been well regarded for his work. He's penned comics for Spider-Man, Daredevil, Avengers, and was head writer on several Disney shows.
Supposedly has ties to Bray Wyatt too according to a follow-up SRS tweet.

This is actually a pretty interesting hire. Some of the biggest media properties in the world have a person who's entire job is basically just keeping track of a given universe. Who's connected with who, times, places, dates, etc.

Given that WWE is looking to flesh out their storytelling under HHH, it makes all the sense in the world to hire someone with the creative experience you need to handle all that from Marvel.

They had a guy like this back in late 99 going into 2000 but I think Steph took over from him in late 2000. No idea why they never went back to it, especially considering how successful that period was.

WWE has hired their first-ever Director of Longtime Creative.

A new report from Fightful Select notes that horror writer Rob Fee recently joined the company as the Director of Longtime Creative, which is a full-time position. Fee’s LinkedIn page notes that he started with WWE in September.

Fee once pitched a movie based on Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” character. The idea reportedly resonated well with WWE higher-ups, and had the possibility of getting produced. However, Wyatt was released shortly after the pitch in late July 2021, so the project never got off the ground.

Fee is reportedly working on the White Rabbit QR code teasers, specifically the direction and production of the campaign.

Fee is a longtime pro wrestling fan and is reportedly very familiar with the product.

Fee has written for Marvel in the past, including comics for Spider-Man, Daredevil and The Avengers. He was also the head writer on multiple Disney shows, including 100 episodes of Player Select, a top rated Disney XD show. Fee recently produced several series for Will Smith, including The Fresh Prince Reunion and Will From Home, the most-watched Snapchat series. He’s also worked as a producer for The Ellen Show and MTV’s Ridiculousness, among others.

I remember hearing about that Attitude Era writer Chris Kreski who had the storyboards and everything written down about when people last feuded, last interactions, and all the relationships.

No idea why they ever went away from that model when it can keep your storytelling so tight and logical, but better late than never.

Man's got a good pedigree. He's doing some great work with the White Rabbit rollout, despite my own personal distaste for most things Bray Wyatt related. Can only imagine this signing will be a good thing.

Guess he's talking about Chris Kreski.....a Stephanie hire btw.

And now we gonna get more spooky shit....yay.

Because that worked out great when they hired Alex Greenfirled to do the same with Undertaker and we had to suffer through hokey segments in 05.
