Welcome to this week's Superstars review. On tap for tonight, is a tag-team main event as Jeff Hardy and R Truth take on Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler.

Goldust & Hornswoggle vs THE Brian Kendrick & Jamie Noble (**)

Pretty short match. Goldust "dominates" Kendrick in the early going, who then tags in Noble and we get more of the same. Noble tags Kendrick back in and he gets hit by some Armdrags. Goldust tags in Hornswoggle who hits a Double-Axe Handle from the top. Kendrick shoves Hornswoggle away, and tags in Noble, but he refuses to hit the midget. Kendrick is tagged back in, and he grabs Hornswoggle's hand and starts slapping him while yelling "Stop hitting yourself". Hornswoggle actually manages to hit a Dropkick, and tags Goldust back in. Goldust hits The Curtain Call, Hornswoggle hits The Tadpole Splash and this one is over.

Winners:Goldust & Hornswoggle

A fun little match, which was rightfully kept short. Kendrick's hunt for a partner continued, and they gave the "team" of Goldust and THE Midget some air time. I will say this, Goldust looked very good in the ring, probably as good he has looked in years.

We get a preview for the Cena-Show match at Extreme Rules, I still don't care about that match.

COMMERCIAL!!!

We are back and Christian has now joined Striker and Matthews in the announce table.

David Hart Smith vs Tommy Dreamer (**1/2)

DH uses his power to take over at the start and pushes Tommy into the corner, who answers back with a slap and a roll-up for 2. Dreamer follows up with a Neckbreaker, then goes for the DDT but DH rolls out of the ring. Back in the ring, Tommy continues to dominate as he Clotheslines Smith to the outside, then hits a Baseball Slide. Outside, DH grabs Tommy and slams him into the ring apron. Smith (And Kidd) start talking smack to Christian, which allows Dreamer to get on the apron and hit a Clothesline on DH.

COMMERCIAL!

We are back and Tommy hits an Elbow Drop on DH, then proceeds to hit some stomps. Bulldog attempt by Dreamer is countered as Smith just throws him into the corner. DH hits the Delayed Vertical Suplex (SHADES OF BRITISH BULLDOG) for a two count. Smith goes for a Legdrop from the second rope, but comes up empty. Tommy hits a Spinebuster, then locks in a Texas Cloverleaf. Natalya tries to slide a chair towards DH, but Christian puts a stop to that. The distraction allows Kidd to get in the ring and hit a boot on Dreamer's face, which is enough for DH to get the pin and the win.

Winner-DH Smith

Solid match with both men looking good. It looks like Christian might be heading for a feud with The Hart Foundation in the near future.

COMMERCIAL!

We are back and we get hype for the Hardy-Edge Ladder Match at Extreme Rules. JR and Grisham run down the card, and it is time for our main event.

Jericho gets on the mic prior to the match, and calls Superstars his show. He throws out his usual array of big words all while calling himself the best superstar in WWE today. Of course, the crowd wants to pretty much kill him. He promises to tear Rey's mask off at Extreme Rules and win the IC Title (For the 9th time).

COMMERCIAL!

We get a video package for Rey Mysterio after coming back from commercial.

Chris Jericho & Dolph Ziggler vs Jeff Hardy & R-Truth (***)

Hardy and Ziggler start us off. Jeff whips Dolph into the ropes, but he slides out of the ring, and Jeff hits a Baseball Slide on Dolph. As Jeff tries to go back in, Dolph distracts the ref which allows Jericho to slam Hardy into the barricade. Ziggler hits an Elbow Drop and gets a 2 count. Dolph locks in an Ortonlock then slams Hardy down to the mat when he tries to escape. Jericho is tagged in and hits a Back Suplex (Shades of Mr.Kennedy >_>). Hardy comes back with a Clothesline and tags R-Truth in. A series of Clotheslines by R-Truth followed by a Spin Kick get him a two count. Hardy is tagged back in and hits The Whisper in the Wind for another two count. Truth is once again tagged in and they hit Poetry in Motion. Ziggler Dropkicks Truth (While the ref had his back turned), which leads to a...

We return and Dolph has another Ortonlock locked in on Truth. Dolph goes for a Back Suplex, but Truth counters in mid-air for a near fall. Truth walks into a Clothesline by Ziggler, and he tags in Jericho. Scoop Slam attempt by Jericho is countered and Truth comes back with some right hands. Jericho whips Truth into the ropes and hits a knee to the midsection, followed by a Dropkick. Ortonlock by Jericho, but R-Truth escapes and hits a Crossbody for 2. Jericho comes back with a Step-Up Enzuguiri for a near fall of his own. Ziggler is tagged in and hits a series of Elbow Drops for a two count. Jericho is tagged back in. Chris goes for the Walls, but Truth counters and hits a Scissors Kick. Both Truth and Jericho make tags, and Jeff Hardy comes in like a trailer on fire. Whisper in the Wind on Ziggler, but the pin is broken up by Jericho. Truth Clotheslines Chris to the outside, then hits a dive to take him out for good. Back in the ring, Hardy hits the Twist of Fate on Dolph, follows up with The Swanton Bomb, and this one is over!

Winners:Jeff Hardy & R-Truth

Very good main event, as both Ziggler and Truth were able to hang with two of WWE's best. Hardy gets the win to build some momentum towards his match with Edge at Extreme Rules.

Overall Thoughts:Thought it didn't have that one great match (Like last week's tag match or Punk vs Jericho) we had three solid matches which helped showcase some of WWE's lesser used talent. Not only that, they managed to make a good job of hyping up Extreme Rules. Thumbs up for this week's Superstars.

As always, remember to support the other reviewers. Be sure to read Sex-Power's SD review, as well as RKO's Legacy RAW Review.

Until next week, I am out!

I didn't see the show, but sounds like it was decent. Glad DH Smith got the win over Dreamer. I'm really sick of this Goldust and Hornswoggle shit though. Hopefully it stays on Superstars, and only Superstars. Nice review.

I'll laugh when Horny/'Dust win the tag titles.

I Can't believe Kendrick and Noble lost, I also saw somewhere that Noble didn't want to hit the midget, what happened to the Noble back on SD who tried to attack him every week and whatnot? :smh

The other two matches sound as though they may be worth watching, good to see Dolph in the Main Event :D

Good review :y:

Good to see Ziggler and not so much Truth getting a rub. Hopefully Goldust actually gets somewhere on Raw if he's really been improving so much, he could be utilized well in the US title scene imo.

Good review, and thanks for the plug.
