Welcome, to this week's RAW review. We're fresh off of the Great American Bash, where CM Punk retained the World Heavyweight Title, thanks to some timely interference by Kane. Will Batista use his unlimited rematch clause tonight? Read on and find out!

We are live from Conneticut. Batista comes out and says the he was hoping to come out as WHC, but thanks to Kane, that wasn't the case. He puts himself in charge of RAW (Because he can?) and announces Punk vs Batista for the title (REEEEEEEMAAAAATCH!!!!). JBL pops up on the tron and he says that Batista had his chance, and now its his turn to get a title shot. Punk comes out, claims to be the King of the Jungle (Well, he is the CHAMP), and after dissing JBL, accepts Batista's challenge.

COMMERCIAL!!!

Shawn Michaels' music plays... and out comes Lance Cade. Cade calls Shawn out before his match.

Paul London vs Lance Cade

We actually get a "Let's Go London" chant. Paul misses a Springboard Crossbody, and Cade hits him with a Backbreaker to take over the match. London manages to comeback and hits a Springboard Crossbody, but he runs into a Shoulder Block. One Sit-Out Spinebuster later, and this one is over.

Winner:Lance Cade

Post-Match, Cade introduces Chris Jericho (Who's rockin a suit!).

COMMERCIAL!!!

Jericho cuts ANOTHER great promo, which I will NOT recap. Seriously, track this down and watch it.

COMMERCIAL!!!

We get a recap of Beth Phoenix beating Santino last week.

Beth Phoenix vs Kelly Kelly

As expected, Beth dominates most of the match. Kelly manages to make a minor comeback, hitting an Enzuigiri, a Tilt-A-Whirl-Headscissors and a Dropkick. However, Phoenix hits the Glam Slam (Wheelbarrow Slam) shortly after that to get the win.

Winner:Beth Phoenix (Random note:Kelly continues to show improvement in the ring).

Jim Duggan comes out, a lot of boring stuff happens with him and King. Rhodes and Dibiase come out and once again put down Mr.Duggan. Lawler slaps Cody, who is held back by Dibiase as they say they will continue this another day. JBL makes his way to the ring.

COMMERCIAL!!!

Cryme Tyme make their entrance, followed shortly by John Cena.

Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase and JBL vs Cryme Tyme and John Cena W/Ability to withstand flames

I won't bother giving this match a real recap. It was eerily similar to last week's match, right down to JTG getting his ass kicked for the most part. JTG makes the hot tag to Cena who cleans house (Shades of last week!). JBL leaves the ring, Cena hits a Double FU on Rhodes and Dibiase, and this one is over!

Winners:Cryme Tyme and John Cena

Post-Match, Cena hugs his Dad and celebrates with his fellow black people.

Backstage, Lance Cade and Chris Jericho walk into Kane as they take their leave.

COMMERCIAL!!!

Mickie James and Kofi Kingston vs Paul and Katie Burchill (Intergender Rules)

Mickies takes Katie down early. Burchill shoves her from the apron, and gets slapped in the face for his troubles. Paul goes after Mickie, but is met by a HUGE Springboard Crossbody by Kingston. Kofi takes over, but Katie distracts him which allows Paul to hit a Chop Block on Kingston. Kofi fights back with some rights, until Katie tries to interfere and gets interrupted by Mickie. The ladies are now brawling on the outside, and Paul leaves the ring to slam Mickie on the mat. Kofi follows suit, and goes for a Spin Kick, but he hits the ringpost instead. Paul tosses him into the ring, hits the Twisted Sister and this one is over!

Winners:The Burchills

Backstage, Jamie Noble tries to hit on Layla (Again!). Batista interrupts and he's looking for Kane. He bitches out Noble, and leaves.

COMMERCIAL!!!

Punk cuts a fairly generic promo, stating that if he's going down, he's going down swinging. He also says he'll give 110% and that its not over till its over... Ok, he didn't say that, but it was still a bit of a cliched promo. JBL interrupts, and calls Punk a transitional champion, Punk points out that he beat JBL in his first title defense (BURN!!)

Santino Marella is out, and once again he's making an open challenge. The challenge is answered by... D'LO F'N BROWN!!!!

Santino Marella vs D'Lo Brown

Some of the older fans actually remembered D-Lo, and even gave him a D'Lo chant. This was a squash. Beth comes out to "observe". Vertical Suplex by Brown, followed up by the Head Shake Leg Drop. He puts Santino in a seated postion, and hits a SICK Lariat (Called the Sudden Impact). D'Lo goes up top and hits the Frogsplash, and just like that, its over.

Winner: D'Lo Brown (He gonna kick you sorry ass out on the street).

Post match, Beth is in the ring and she drills Santino with a Forearm. They have a couple of waist lock exchanges.. AND THEY KISS!! Both of them looked embarassed as the single greatest segment on RAW this year (Slight exaggeration >_>) comes to an end.

COMMERCIAL!!!

We are back, and its time for out Main Event.

Batista comes out, and Kane comes out shortly after. Both men brawl, and Kane hits an awful looking Chokeslam on The Animal. CM Punk makes the save.

CM Punk vs Batista (World Heavyweight Championship)

Punk dominates the majority of the match. Batista hits a couple of moves here and there, but that's about it. Punk Drop Toeholds Batista into the corner, then hits the Running Knee/Bulldog Combo for a near fall. Punk goes for the Springboard Clothesline, but Springboards right into a Spinebuster by Batista. Batista whip Punk into the corner and hits a Clothesline, he goes for another one, but Punk gets the boot up, CM tries for a Crossbody and misses. Batista hits the Spear, gives the thumbs down signal, but out comes JBL to cause the DQ.

Winner:No one... And despite dominating the match, Punk is made to look like someone who was lucky to retain the title (Since Batista had the upper hand when JBL interfered)

Post-Match, JBL tosses Punk to the outside, and hits the Clothesline from Hell on Batista. John Cena comes out to get him some of JBL, but accidentally hits Batista, instead. Batista and Cena brawl and are pulled apart as the show ends.

Overall Thoughts:Another solid show, this week. Once again, Punk is made to look like a chump, and isn't even the focal point and the end of the show, since he's not Cena and/or Batista. It seems we might be getting a multi-man title match at Summerslam (Elimination Chamber, maybe?) Despite the questionable (IE:SHITTY!) booking of the
"Champ", this show gets a thumbs up. Also, D'LO FUCKIN BROWN IS BACK!!!

Remember to read Kaedon's NSZ and his SD review. Until next week, I am out.

Good review there SP as always..

So SP, do you think that they will start a "pure" one-on-one feud between Batista and Cena? or they will make it a fatal 4 way with Kane and JBL involving in this one as well?

I see the Fatal Four Way as the more possible choice. I think WWE will hold out on Batista vs Cena until Wrestlemania.

To be honest, I'd like to see an Elimination Chamber match at Summerslam. JBL, Batista, Cena, Punk, and maybe Jericho and Kane.

I dunno but i think that Rey Mysterio should be involved in this as well. Its been a while he didnt show up in the PPV nor the Raw episodes. Teaming up with Batista? not sure.
