Greetings and welcome to another installment of YOUR ECW review. No idea what's on tap for tonight, or where the show was held for that matter. With that said, let's get down to business. (Wait.. They announced Punk vs Morrison for tonight).
Hornswoggle vs Armando Estrada
Hornswoggle dicks around all throughout the match. He puts marbles on the floor, Estrada falls. The little guy soaks him with a watergun, Finlay shows up from under the ring and does the same. Hornswoggle wins the match wit The Tadpole Splash. See, it was crap.. But it only took 2 minutes. That's how you do it!
Winner:Hornswoggle
Post-Match, Finlay and Hornswoggle do an irish jig and they punch random women in the crowd (One of those two did NOT happen).

We get a WWE exclusive of Layla shaking her ass. SP approves!
Matt Striker vs Evan Bourne (Because if he were called Matt Sydal, we would confuse him with Striker)
Lock-up at the start of the match. Striker goes on the offensive, but Bourne sees it coming and hits a Headscissors. Bourne goes for a Springboard Move, but Striker counters and hits a rope-assisted Neckbreaker. Striker gets a MODIFIED Ortonlock, but Evan escapes and hits a High Knee (Rocky Romero'd). Bourne hits a Leg Sweep and goes for a Standing Moonsault but Striker puts the knees up. Striker charges at Bourne who knocks him down, goes up top AND HITS A SHOOTING STAR PRESS FOR THE WIN!!
Winner:Evan Bourne
After the match, Mike Knox attacks Bourne. He also waits in the ring for some reason.

We are back and Knox will face Kofi Kingston (There's your reason)
Kofi Kingston vs Mike Knox
Typical match between the two.. Until Shelton Benjamin's music hits and he and Kofi start to slug it out. Both men continue to brawl until Kofi is shoved into the ropes and gets KILLED with a T-Bone Suplex. Shelton goes for a Spin Kick, but Kofi sees it coming and it hits Mike Knox instead.
Winner via DQ:Kofi Kingston
Highlights from the McMahon money giveaway, Finlay and Hornswoggle sign the contract to their title match, Miz walks in and gets hit with the SHALALALALA.
CM Punk makes his way to the ring and he will face a... COMMERCIAL!!
CM Punk vs John Morrison
Both men talk shit at the start and exchange Shoulder Blocks. Morrison hits a Neckbreaker and goes for another move, but Punk counters into an Inverted Atomic Drop. Punk charges at Morrison, gets Backdropped but lands on the apron. Morrison just sweeps the legs and Punk goes to the floor. Back in the ring, Morrison locks in a submission manuever (Sorry, don't know the name) and locks it in for a while. Morrison hits a Gut Buster and gets a 2 count, then goes back to the submission move. Punk eventually escapes and goes for the Go2Sleep but Morrison knees his way out of the move.
John locks in a Body Scissors, but Punk escapes, grabs Morrison by the legs and he hits... A BIG SWING (HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!). Punk follows up with the Running Knee in the Corner but Morrison counters the Bulldog. John goes for the Tidal Wave (Springboard Kick to the head) but Punk ducks under it and hits Morrison with a Snap Slam for two. Punk goes for the Double Underhook Backbreaker (Either that or a Pedigree) but Morrison escapes and hits a Back Suplex for another two count. Punk whips Morrison into the corner but he jumps to the ring apron. He knees Punk in the gut and tries to leap in, but gets caught by Punk, who hits the Go2Sleep and this one is over!
Winner:CM Punk
Miz is out and claims that he and Morrison will RETAIN the tag titles at Night of Champions.
COMMERCIAL!!!
Show and Kane make their way to the ring to hype up the ECW title match. Big Show calls Kane a sadistic monster, and Kane just laughs it off. Show says he went through hell to get the title shot, and Kane responds by saying that HE IS HELL! Mark Henry comes out and tells both men that if he's not drafted to RAW, he'll go after whoever wins the ECW title at NOC. Show and Kane say nothing, but they do Chokeslam Mark Henry (All the way to hell?)
End of show.

Lowlight of the Night:Hornswoggle vs Estrada
Overall thoughts: Another week, another solid outing from the land of extreme. I did not like the opener, but again, it was kept short and it got Finlay & Hornswoggle some tv time. Striker vs Bourne was a nice little match in which Evan got to show his insane athleticism and the post-match beatdown gives Bourne an apparent feud with Knox. Knox vs Kofi was all about advancing the Kofi-Shelton feud, and I'd like to see a Bourne-Kingston vs Knox-Shelton Extreme Rules match in the future.
Punk vs Morrison was their usual encounter.. That means it was very good. Both men looked strong, and Punk actually got a win. The last segment served its purpose. It pushed the ECW title match, and rid Mark Henry from this feud (for the time being) putting the spotlight solely on Show vs Kane. It might not be a good match, but they're tyring to make it a big deal and that can only help the ECW title (And brand) in the long run. Thumbs up this week for ECW.
Remember to read all the column in IWF, and support the writers!! Also, congrats to KG, Allen and Pierce. Three of my favorite players who get their first ring last night. It would have been better had they played for another team, but its still well-deserved, at least for KG. Maybe people will leave the man alone now.
