After a bit of a hiatus, the ECW review is back... What can I say? I'm a glutton for punishment. Tonight, Kane will be the guest in the Cutting Edge.
We are in Greensboro, North Carolina. Your hosts are Mike Adamle (DAMN!) and The Tazz. We start off the show with some mixed-tag action.
Tommy Dreamer and Kelly vs Mike Knox and Layla
According to Adamle, Knox is on a mission in 2008... Probably on a mission to have the fans care about him, m i rite?
The ladies start off the match with some sloppy striking and hair pulling. Dreamer and Knox are tagged in and Mike takes the advantage. Tommy desperately tags in Kelly and she does a Crossbody to Layla. Knox and Dreamer end up fighting outside and after a couple of not so horrible counters, Kelly hits Layla with the Fame Asser/Rocker Dropper for the win.
Winners:Tommy Dreamer and Kelly Kelly
After the match, Knox hits Tommy with the Corkscrew Neckbreaker. For those wondering, Adamle said about 5 words throughout the entire match.

We are back and we get the RAW recap focusing on the presidential candidates and their speeches.
John Morrison vs Jimmy Wang Yang (With The Miz on commentary)
The match was good, though short. The real highlight was the Miz (Really, Kaedon, he was!) as he just rips into Mike Adamle by asking him if Jimmy was Jamaican him crazy. Miz botches Jimmy Yang's name (By calling him Jimmy Wang Wang) and wonders why Adamle is allowed to screw up lines.. Oh right, the match.
A basic back and forth match. Some leg work by Morrison which ultimately led to nothing. Jimmy makes the comeback and hits an insane Monkey Flip which sees Morrison flip about 450 degrees. Yang goes for the Yang time but gets crotched on the top rope. Morrison goes for the Split Legged Moonsault but misses. Yang back up top, hits the Yang time and this is over!
Winner:Jimmy Wang Yang
We get a recap of the KoTR (Which Regal won). Adamle and The Tazz run-down the card for Backlash and backstage, Shelton and Kofi challenge one another to a match.
Commercial!!
Kofi Kingston vs Shelton Benjamin (Black on black crime?)
Shelton schools Kofi early. Kingston manages to get some offense in, mostly Dropkicks and Arm Drags. Benjamin continues to pound Kofi and locks him in an Armbar. Kofi tries to escape but Shelton just adds some more pressure. Kingston manages to escape and whips Shelton to the corner. He goes for a Monkey Flip but Benjamin just lands on his feet and knocks Kingston down with an EXTREEEEEME Shoulder Block. Kofi hits the Cool Runnings out of nowhere and gets the win. Wait, what?
Winner:Kofi Kingston
We get another RAW recap. This time its Umaga destroying fake Hillary and Obama. COMMERCIAL!!
We are back and it is time for our Main Event.
Mark Henry vs Nunzio (Seriously, our main event)
Nunzio with some nice chain-wres.... Oh, who am I kidding? Henry just squashes Nunzio. He gets him in a Bearhug, hits the World's Strongest Slam and this one's over.
Winner:Mark Henry
Recap of the European tour.. Yeah, that's about it. Commercial.
We are back and it is time for the Cutting Edge. Edge calls out Kane, Edge basically talks about Kane's history (The Burnings of the parents... and the burning of the crotch due to Lita). No mention of Katie Vick, though. Kane threatens Vickie Guerrero which causes Edge to go after Kane. Kane gets the upper-hand but Bam Neely and Chavo Guerrero show up, grab a chair and go after Kane's leg. After multiple chair-shots to the leg, the heels gloat in the ramp area as the show ends.
Extreeeeme moment of the night:The Cutting Edge was pretty good and people actually booed Chavo Guerrero. People caring about an ECW title match=EXTREEEME!
Not so extreme moment:The lack of wrestling. All matches went about 3 minutes, and Mark Henry vs Nunzio was the main event.
Overall thoughts:Thumbs in the middle (Almost down, to be honest) the Cutting Edge saved the show from getting a thumbs down. Morrison vs Yang and Kofi vs Shelton were both good, but too short to mean anything. I like that they're building up Kofi's finisher, but having Shelton dominate the match and then lose out of nowhere doesn't help his character. Luckily for Shelton, he's on ECW so chances are only 30 people saw it.

Until next week, I am out!
