Most likely I used a tutorial on sprites, and this is what I got probably should have put that in the title.

You should have added some focus to the "kicker".. you didnt blind him, so imo it looked like a very poor image quality you used there.
Try use the contrast adjustment, and the C4D's you used needs some blending so that it will actually look like its part of the signature and not just something added on top of the image (if you know what i mean).
one last comment, i think you need to work on your lights and shadows.
Other than that, the concept is good, just needs more effort imo.
