This tweet may be a couple of days old, but this kinda deserves do be talked about.

We have known WWE has its branding. Fans are the WWE Universe, their wrestlers are Superstars, and they are Sports Entertainment, not wrestling. As much as it can be understandable, the lengths they go through to to avoid some of those words can get pretty frustrating. However on their twitter account to advertise a charity show several current and former stars are going to they did a very very cringe way of saying "Wrestling fans."

SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT ENTHUSIASTS!

They could have used "WWE Universe," or anything rather than this convoluted way. It is like they went to Thesuarus.com to avoid saying the word fan and used their normal way to avoid saying wrestling.

This is may be small but perhaps an extreme case of WWE trying to keep their "brand," and it is kinda rediculous. XD

Just say wrestling fans. They are wrestlers. Stop beating around the bush about it. Most people who are fans don't say stuff like this unless they are snobs and you won't find many snobby people enjoying wrestling.

Wrestling is a banned word in the company and any employee found using it will have to put money in the swear jar(or sports entertainment jar)

That’s right.
WWE stands for:
World Walrus Entertainment.
They are so stoopid!
Wrestling is in their company name.
Lol.

They are people who are very enthusiastic about sports entertainment. I fail to see the issue

It was kinda weird they didn't use WWE Universe. It's a term they're known for and been using it for years.

It is likely they may try to make this a battle between Sports Entertainment and Wrestling.

I also noticed last night on RAW that they now call a ringpost a "ovaltron" and I also remember Michael Cole saying "He throws him into the Universe" when a wrestler would throw another into the crowd, that made me cringe hard and smh... This kind of stuff is ridiculous.

What is not ridiculous is Corey finally has normal hair and I don’t hate him as much.
His makeover has humanized him.

We are talking about the tweet/Overreliance on Buzz words, not Corey's hair.

This is such a nitpicky thing to critique. Everyone knows that McMahon doesnt view the WWE brand as just wrestling. And he hasnt for a very long time. "We make movies, pal."
