During tonight’s taping of Friday Night Smackdown, it was announced that due to CM Punk’s injury and emergency surgery, the TLC Pay-Per-View Main Event has been changed. Ryback will no longer be receiving a WWE Championship Match, instead, he will be teaming with Team Hell No in a 6-man Tag Team Match. They will be taking on all three members of The Sheild, Seth Rollings, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose.

As of this writing, CM Punk remains the WWE Champion, even though he is injured. The current plans still call for CM Punk to defend the WWE Championship against The Rock at the Royal Rumble. The main event of TLC is now scheduled to be the Ladder Match between Dolph Ziggler and John Cena for the Money in the Bank Briefcase.

Remember back in the day when you used to have to kayfabe defend your title once every 30 days or be stripped?

From a wrestling perspective this is awesome news. Yes, seeing The Shield getting buried (besides working over Bryan for a lot of the match) will be shit, but Dolph getting the ME slot is fucking fantastic, and let's be honest, nobody really cared for Punk/Ryback #2
