Jeff Hardy is the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. What do you guys think about this? I'm aware that he's probably the guys that sells the most merchandise and the top face, but I don't agree with giving him the title. Aries was very well built as a champion, so they turned him, like, the week before the PPV with an angle that could've worked well if it had the proper build up (A Double wanting Hardy's fame and such, but it doesn't make that much sense because he was always the ME recently so nothing to complain about), but it seemed rushed. Also, the "redemption" story could've been much better, with some heel reminding Jeff about his screw up at VR, and then he ends up beating said heel for the world title, but that's also not how it played out. Plus, they probably just gave him the strap to keep him happy around TNA. Thoughts?

Probably not worth listening to my input as I'm exactly a regular viewer.

While I disagree with it from a fan perspective, I can understand it from a business perspective. They have been getting gash ratings for weeks now and I imagine they've handed him the belt to try gain some publicity, personally I hope it fails.

What it does do IMO is massively halt Aries. I presumed since they turned him heel that he was gonna hold the belt for a few months to really get him over, but now all his momentum has been killed: god knows what they will do with him next.
