TNA IMPACT WRESTLING “COUNTDOWN TO BOUND FOR GLORY” SPECIAL TO AIR ON SPIKE TV SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14 AT 7:00pm ET

Special to feature Pay-Per-View match, highlight BFG series matches, retrospectives and interviews prior to TNA WRESTLING’S biggest night of the year

NASHVILLE, TN – (September 6, 2012) – Spike TV will present a new one-hour special, “Countdown to Bound For Glory,” on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 7:00pm ET/4:00pm PT that will provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at TNA’s biggest and most star-studded event of the year.

“Countdown” will feature live behind-the-scenes interviews, an early Pay-Per-View match and crowd reaction, immediately prior to the start of the internationally distributed live event. Additionally, highlights of the inaugural TNA Hall of Fame celebration, featuring Sting, will be included in the countdown show. "Bound for Glory," presented by Direct Auto Insurance, airs live Sunday, October 14 at 8:00p.m. ET worldwide as one of pro wrestling’s top events of the year.

"This ‘Bound For Glory’ will be the biggest Pay-Per-View event in our ten-year history," states TNA President Dixie Carter. "With so much action set for the night, we are excited to bring this one-hour ‘Countdown’ special to Spike. It’s going to be a great way to kick off ‘Bound for Glory.’"

The superstars of Spike’s “IMPACT WRESTLING” will headline “Bound For Glory,” including Hulk Hogan, current TNA World Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Sting, Jeff Hardy, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, Mr. Anderson, “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, the lovely and lethal TNA Knockouts, the stars of the X-Division and many more. “Bound For Glory” will feature the winner of the “Bound For Glory Series” in the main event for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Continuing the celebration of ten years of Total Nonstop Action, this will be the biggest weekend of the year for the superstars of IMPACT WRESTLING. The weekend will feature expanded activities in the Phoenix area, including a special “Bound For Glory Fan InterAction” and the inaugural annual TNA Hall of Fame induction. As announced at “Slammiversary” in June, the first-ever inductee is “The Icon” Sting.

Should be interesting. TNA has been doing a lot of good things, particularly the BFG series. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends up.

I'm pretty sure that's the only comparison I've made? :notsure:

It is an issue with everyone, not you. I do it myself sometimes because it is a bad habit.

Just for the discussion, why shouldn't TNA be compared to WWE from time to time? They are the only two major wrestling promotions in the united states who broadcast on a weekly basis on national television. Of course there are going to be people drawing comparisons. To compare TNA or WWE to any of the lesser companies (I do not mean in terms of quality or talent mind you) would be unfair to the smaller companies since they aren't even close financially to be able to put on shows with the same production values as TNA or WWE.

When it is an actual viable comparison and you are comparing apples to apples its fine. People want to compare the two companies in all facets which is Blue.

To come into this thread and quickly dismiss these TNA efforts as a WWE preshow knock off is absurd.
