During a recent conference call to announce Bellator’s new timeslot on Thursday nights, Spike TV President Kevin Kay spoke very highly of IMPACT Wrestling. Regarding the decision to air Bellator after IMPACT Wrestling, Kay said:

"The move from Fridays to Thursdays was a no-brainer for us. With the IMPACT lead-in, they're on fire right now and as soon as football is done on Thursday nights, their ratings will drive right back up."
