It's been announced, Matt Hyson (Spike Dudley) will compete at an CZW event September 8th. At the moment it doesn't look like a long term thing but who knows. I cant say I'm surprised. Spike was always one of the guys who didn't mind taking a few thumb tacs just to please the fans. I actually believe this is a good fit. I'm not a big fan of CZW but I have seen improvements and I'll admit they've been doing a good job at bringing in talent lately. Homicide just faced Ruckus at CZW's last show...the match actually turned into a tag match, but the fact that Homicide actually competed is a good sign for the future, at least thats how I see it.

What do you guys think about Spike competing in CZW, and please stay on topic. We don't need another "Hate CZW" thread

Spike could be a good fit to be honest. He has a little bit of each style, and should have a hardcore edge from being in ECW at one time. I'd actually like to see him do a run with CZW, and possibly stay long term.

Spike needs people to make him look good.
I struggle to think of a match that he was in, where a bigger guy took bumps for him to make him offense look better.

I may be wrong, he could be great without the restrictions of being a "Dudley" holding him back, but I'm thinking he may end up being fed to a bigger guy for the "beat a former TNA, WWE & ECW" trademark

I don't see this helping CZW at all. Who would go to a CZW show solely to see Spike? He's not big enough.

No big loss to the main stream world, he wouldn't do anything significant anywhere else other than job, so yeah that's the best place for him.

I wouldn't exactly say his career is over. WWE is interested in the Dudley's and it seems D-Von would like to finish his career in the WWE so it wouldn't surprise me if we seen a D-Von and Spike reunion somewhere down the line. As for Buh Buh, he's had strong words against WWE, I think the chances of him returning to the WWE are unlikely but I could be wrong. Professional Wrestling is a strange business. I'm sure at one point many of us thought we would never see a guy like The Sandman in a WWE ring.

Spike in CZW makes sense.... If nothing else we are guaranteed to see him take a couple of SICK bumps. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but CZW has been on a bit of an upswing as of late.

Yeah, I hear he no showed the event. I'm not sure if it was a conflict in schedules or a lack of interest, whatever the case was Spike didn't show up to the event.
