Scientists are exploring the anti-humidity properties behind spider web glue in effort to develop new smart adhesives for humans.
There are about 45,000 known species of spiders living in the world, with 7,500 of those able to spin webs and catch their prey, according to American Institute of Physics's press release.
Researchers from the University of Akron and Virginia Polytechnic Institute, analyzed the web spiral-like strands of spider "capture silk," which consists of an axial fiber coated with "glue droplets" at regular intervals.
