Tonight was the last Smackdown for the month of April, four days after the huge draft on Monday Night Raw, and just two days away from Extreme Rules this Sunday. This was the last chance for former Smackdown stars to leave on a good note before heading to Raw, as well as new Smackdown stars to mark their territory on the blue brand.
The show started with the Viper Randy Orton coming out to introduce himself to the Smackdown crowd. He was interrupted first by Drew McIntyre, then by Alex Riley, but both received an RKO for their interruption. He was interrupted a third time by Del Rio. He and his cronies tried to jump Orton, but Christian ran out to make the save. Long came out and announced a tag match for later, which saw Orton picking up the victory by hitting an RKO on Clay for the win.
Kofi was ambushed from behind by Sheamus before their match even started. Rey Mysterio had his last Smackdown match against newest SD draftee Mark Henry. That match ended in DQ when Rhodes attacked him from behind.
We also saw Kane & Big Show retain their tag titles in a rematch against Slater & Gabriel by hitting a double chokeslam. LayCool finally split up as Michelle & Layla had a match which resulted in a double count out. After the match, Layla challenged Michelle to a match at Extreme Rules in which Michelle accepted. But Michelle wants it to be a loser leaves WWE match to which Layla accepted.
