I'll save the rest of the draft talk for the official draft thread. You can talk about the results and whether you like it or not there. But on a side note, I noticed one thing. Raw has a distinct lack of main event heels. Actually, as a whole, they lack main eventers. SD has Jericho, Edge, Umaga, Kennedy, Mysterio, Taker, Punk, Hardy, as main eventers, and guys like Khali who can be main eventers at rare times, when someone is desperately needed.
Raw however has Triple H, Batista, Cena, Michaels, and Orton. Yes, they have 3 of the biggest names, but the depth is awful. Especially when you think that Cena, Triple H, Batista, and Michaels are all faces, and the only established heels are Orton and Show, and Show is hardly even a main eventer.
So, it's obvious Raw needs a main event heel, and they don't just grow on trees. Someone needs to turn heel, who should it be? You can choose any of the main eventers to turn heel, but try to be logical...

IMO, it should be Triple H. Let's face it, the face run is nice and all, but it takes away his personality. He's pretty generic now. Not to mention, he's meant to be a heel. That's when his character is at it's best. When he's got a sledgehammer, and he's beatign people down, letting the crowd boo him, etc. Not only would he have the biggest impact as a heel, but he's the most suited to turn heel. If they show any interest in makign MVP a main eventer, he better go back to being a heel as well.

So two part question here... Who should turn heel on Raw, and does the lack of depth Main Eventers on Raw concern you?

It'll probably be Batista. They already started teasing some dissension between the two last night, and I expect Big Dave to turn on HHH at Backlash.

Who do you want to turn heel, SP? I know you think Big Dave will, but who do you want?
If Batista turns heel, it'll be pretty lame IMO. I think HHH is the most entertaining heel when he is a heel.

Batista's been a face ever since he turned on Triple H before Mania in 05, so I think they might turn him heel to freshen up his character. I agree that Triple H would be better though. Say want you want about the guy when it comes to backstage politics, he's still one of the best heels, if not the best, I've ever seen. His feuds with Foley, the Rock and Stone Cold in 2000 were amazing.

Batista. The guy is pretty much a heel, he randomly beats people up, he's always whining about getting title shots that he doesn't deserve. Might as well make it official by turning him.

I would love and want HHH to go heel . He really needs it, He has a good run at being a face and he has done a great job of it. But he is so stale it's not even funny anymore. By the looks of things on Raw they are teasing Batista I'm hoping it's a swerve and ultimately it's trips that gets the turn. Ive said this in another post. Although Batista has been Face for like forever and could do with a heel turn see if he can run with it and get heat as a heel. I just think HHH is best suited for it. He is far better as a heel. He is like Orton and Edge there just meant to be heels it what they do best. So thats who i think should turn heel. As for the depth of Raw yeah I'm a little concerned that we will get reruns of old feuds but from a heels direction. But to be honest thats what Raw roster has been like for ages now. Reruns of old feuds but with a different spin/Storyline so it's no big thing. Until the likes of HHH,Michael's,Taker Tista retire and they start pushing up and coming stars Punk,MVP,Kennedy,Bourne,Morrison etc then we will continue getting the same Feuds/matches/ The only plus side of a stacked Raw roster is SD will have great wrestling matches with more time to showcase the talent. Well thats my little rant over with :)

I would just want to point out, you say Big Show is not a main eventer...he's more of a main eventer than most who you named for SD's main eventers (Kennedy, Umaga and Punk)

Sumtin' like this....

Batista costs HHH the title at Backlash, seemingly accident (although not taking the pin), tempers simmer, things cool and hands are shaken on Raw, but Batista eventually costs HHH in his rematch with Orton Judgement Day. Then they can have a nice bloody match at ONS and also give a bit more dynamic to Cena/Batista2 when it finally happens.

We've seen a heel HHH face all the big guys on Raw so I'd avoid it like the plague for the sake of variety.

(This also means we'll have another year or two at least until we get the one we've all been waiting for.... ;o] )

Thing is, all the big names that are moving will have moved last night. I could be wrong but I don't recall any main eventers moving in the supplemental draft before.

I don't think Triple H could work as a heel anymore. He suffers from Undertaker and Ric Flair syndrome: the fans just don't seem to have any interest in booing him anymore, and remember that it was the fans that turned him face in the first place.

The smart money would be on Batista, in particular I think Airfixx's plan would represent some smart booking. But we've got to bear in mind that Raw now has Matt Hardy and Miz who are obviously both about to get pushed to the moon, particualrly Hardy given the kind of reactions he's been getting since Wrestlemania. One of these guys could be making waves in the main event scene soon so I don't think that the WWE necesarily needs to turn anyone, and certainly no more than one person.

Matt Hardy is a possibility for the main event and I would expect to see him throw his hat into the ring within the next couple of months, but the Miz is surely a long way off. Maybe it's just cos I'm not that big a fan of the Miz and would much rather have seen Morrisson drafted, but I think the Miz is more likely to be feuding with MVP over the US title.
