Some Bits of History:
Since its inception of the Elimination Chamber in November 2002, there have been 15 such matches — three of which have been held at the pay-per-view bearing its name. At least one Elimination Chamber match has been held since each year since its inception, except in 2004 and 2007. The third-ever Elimination Chamber match was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico during the New Year’s Revolution event — the first-ever WWE pay-per-view event held in that country. At that same event, Shelton Benjamin beat Maven TWICE for the Intercontinental Championship. Umaga once took a whooping in the Elimination Chamber, getting hit with the signature moves of four different competitors in a matter of seconds (Triple H’s Pedigree, Jeff Hardy’s Swanton Bomb from atop a pod, Sweet Chin Music from Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho’s codebreaker)
