Smackdown vs. Raw!

Just wondered what you guys prefered Raw or Smackdown?

I would have to say I prefer Smackdown, I'd rather watch 2 hours of wrestling (which is what WWE is supposed to be about) than about an hour of wrestling and the rest of the show being some comedy bullshit. I'll admit, Smackdown has some comedy segs but they are all in good taste, take last week for an example, JoMo and Edge taking the piss out of Swaggers lisp was awesome and Jericho, trying to take his title back was gold, the Raw comedy segss are awful, who wants to see Hornswoggle terrorising the guest host and Santino trying to imitate the host.

Please share your opinions.

Raw is still my fave show probably always will be, Mainly because my Fave superstars are on it. But SD is a very close 2ND i like the wrestling side of SD.

But i also like backstage skits,Promos, entertainment etc and you get more of that on Raw.

I love smackdown id much rather it. The matches are longer and raw is just talk talk and 5 minutes a match. But some how i always stay up to watch raw... Guess im just a hardcore wrestling fan lol. I do not care if i miss NXT.

Yeah I'm the same. I prefer Smackdown yet I still watch Raw live at 2am every week.

Honestly I like Smackdown more then Raw for the reasons mentioned by Raw and Smackdown are two entirely different shows.

They always have been. Raw is the flagship show, the big names and big feuds. Raw has never been a "wrestling" show. Its main focus has always been the promos and build up first and matches secondary. Smackdown, since it's inception was always more wrestling heavy and the promos/PPV build secondary. With the exception of when the WWE title was a Smackdowne exclusive championship before the WHC was reintroduced Raw has always been the #1 show imo.

Wow 7-0 to Smackdown, Raw is clearly overrated, but if Smackdown was the flagship instead of Raw then I'm sure this would be 7-0 to Raw.

SmackDown! still holds the classic WWE feel. Raw is so completely gone right now it isn't even like you are watching professional wrestling. Atleast with SmackDown! you get great matches every week and good promos without cheap plugs for two bit celebrities and the shit that they are pushing.

Let alone SmackDown! isn't as obviously PG as Raw is.

I honestly haven't even seen Smackdown in months. How many people are home on Friday night between 8 and 10? I usually just read the spoilers. There was that point last year after the draft where Smackdown simply blew RAW out of the water. Both shows have their high points for me... Smackdown has Jericho and Punk, RAW has HHH, Miz, Sheamus, and Orton. I suppose I'd have to go with RAW at the moment simply because it's the show I watch more.

You really should watch more Smackdown nou, try and watch the repeats, it is so much better than Raw.

I guarantee if they'd switch Smackdown back to Thursday nights their ratings would probably vastly improve.

Probs, it would also let us see the Thanks Giving celebration, I doubt it will happen in the foreseeable future though, Smackdown on Thursday nights would be the shit, that would also knock Superstars out of the window, though it would prelong my weekend craving for wrestling so I'm on the fence on this one.

There are no Smackdown replays over here, or atleast none that I know of. With college and everything I am home more often then not on Friday nights, but when I am not at home I tend tp DVR Smackdown or atleast find it online somewhere to give me something to watch on Saturdays lol.
