Brett Hart entered the ring as the guest general manager of Smackdown. He spoke about the live Smackdown next Tuesday and said it was his decision. Sure, it was. He said Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton will take place on that show. Out came Christian, who said it was not his fault for losing at SummerSlam. He blamed Edge and said he couldn't concentrate during the SS match. Christian wants his rematch Tuesday on live SD.

Bret told Christian to stop being a crybaby. He said he's an embarrassment to the WWE Universe and to Canada. Yikes! He said he has to work his way back up. Christian called Bret an embarrassment and said he's the only relevant Canadian. Christian presented a court order to Bret that says he gets his rematch before anyone else gets a title shot. Bret gave it to him for next Tuesday and added that it will be in a steel cage match.

Mark Henry came out and said he's been here for 15 years. He said this is disrespect and that he earned his shot. He said someone's gonna get hurt. He wants the winner of the cage match. He was trying to bully Bret. Out comes Sheamus, who tells a story about how his uncle castrated a black bull. He is gonna do the same. He clears Henry from the ring.

They did a retake of Sheamus and Henry.

1. Christian defeated Daniel Bryan. Christian won with the Killswitch. An excellent match, just as you would expect from these two.

Wade Barrett came out for a match against a local wrestler. He said he is responsible for attacks on John Cena and others. He said he has shaken WWE to its very core (get it, Corre?). He says there is no way he will face this guy. He said it was an embarrassment and then left. That was the end of the segment. Seriously.

2. Sin Cara beat Heath Slater. There were a couple of botched moves and a quick roll up for the win. They had to reshoot the finish because it was so bad the first time. The kids love Sin Cara, though.

3. Randy Orton defeated Ted DiBiase (w/Cody Rhodes). Cody said he performs miracles and is resurrecting the Intercontinental Title. The paper bags were handed out. It was a nice match with lots of great spots. They had obvious chemistry with one another. Orton got the win with the RKO. Cody was pissed and hit CrossRhodes on DiBiase after the match. He put a bag on his head and their relationship appears to be finished.

4. Kelly Kelly beat Tamina. Kelly Kelly won with her new finisher.

Jinder Mahal was schooling The Great Khali and telling him he needs to take care of Ezekiel Jackson, which is coming up next.

Randy Orton vs. Christian in a cage match was officially advertised for the live Smackdown show.

5. Ezekiel Jackson defeated The Great Khali. Jackson broke out of the Vice Grip and put Khali in the Torture Rack. Impressive.

Randy Orton cut a promo on the big screen. He basically asked how many times he has to fight Christian.

6. Sin Cara defeated Heath Slater. They redid the match completely. No kidding. And, shockingly, it was way better the second time.

7. Sheamus defeated Mark Henry by countout. This was a slow plod. Sheamus scored the countout victory after throwing Henry into the announce table. Afterward, Henry killed Sheamus with the World's Strongest Slam onto the ring steps.

So we got another freakin' rematch between Christian & Orton for the WHC... Steel Cage match at last however.

Cody/Ted feud may be on the cards now. Care factor = 0% (Because I hate DiBiase)

Sin Cara is back.. (NOT HUNICO) and you can see why, two matches... Just bring Hunico into Sin Cara already.

Zeke pulling off a Torture Rack on Khali... Do we say OMG for this?

So Sheamus won by countout, just shows this feud is far from over.

As long as Henry gets the title shot at NOC I don't mind Christian having a title shot next week. It is the live tuesday Smackdown so WWE needed something huge to advertise for it and Christian vs. Orton in a cage for the title is massive.

Good to see Bryan facing Christian and having a quality match.

Not sure why they put Sin Cara against Heath Slater. Give him a proper feud for once and stop putting him against randoms especially people like Slater who aren't the strongest wrestlers.

I like the sound of Orton vs. DiBiase. Plus Rhodes turning on DiBiase can only be a positive for DiBiase. Hopefully they turn him face because he has done nothing as a heel.

Look forward to seeing Zeke put Khali in the torture rack.

Interesting that Sheamus vs. Henry got the mainevent spot. Match doesn't sound the best and I like how WWE are trying their best to keep both over as monsters.

To be honest, Smackdown's booking is absolutely shit and here's why.

Orton doesn't need a title match at all, not on a LIVE Smackdown. Why didn't they have Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Christian vs. Henry in a Fatal Four way. This way it elevates Sheamus and Henry in the main-event. Even though Henry is #1 Contender, he could have made to look strong in this match.

Sin Cara needs to fuck off, bring Hunico back. DiBiase will turn face and will suck at doing it, he will be released soon now that his brother was released (Brett DiBiase).

Zeke putting that Torture Rack is the highlight tbh.

Sheamus going over with a countout win means the feud is far from over. With Henry having the #1 contender's spot... He will face Orton no matter what, but where does this leave Sheamus when the feud is far from over.

As I said, Barrett should have gotten the #1 spot.

There needs to be a big match on the show but maybe they didn't need the title. Book the same match, Christian vs. Orton in a cage, but without the title and that would be big enough. Or they could have booked Orton & Sheamus vs. Christian & Henry for the mainevent.

I wouldn't put all the blame on Sin Cara, remember he was wrestling Heath Slater and not someone like Kidd or Gabriel.

Brett DiBiase asked for his release. His knees are so badly injured he can't wrestle anymore and was working as a referee before he asked for his release. Ted will be fine and a face turn will help bring him back up the card. He has been stale as a heel for years so this is good.

Henry destroyed Sheamus after the match so Henry still stands tall to close the show and still looks like the number one contender.

Barrett needs wins before he can be number one contender. The only person he has beaten recently is Daniel Bryan. He needs to beat someone like Sheamus before he can get a title shot because he is currently too far down the pecking order.

Either way, Christian vs Orton shouldn't be a title match.

So you're saying beating a guy with basically has a constant Number One Contenders spot means nothing? It means a lot in my eyes.

Barrett has beaten no-one else and before that PPV match Bryan was barely winning any matches either. Yes Bryan has the MITB briefcase but he hasn't been booked like a star yet so someone beating him isn't a massive deal. It is one step in a long road. If Barrett beat Sheamus clean it would have meant a lot more than beating Bryan clean because Sheamus had been booked strongly on Smackdown in recent weeks.

pwinsider said:
Earlier this week, during the Smackdown spoilers, we noted that WWE had to film a match between Sin Cara and Heath Slater twice due to a number of moves being botched during the initial taping in Calgary, Alberta Canada.

PWInsider.com has confirmed that it was actually WWE developmental talent Hunico working as Cara in both matches. The original Cara was at the event and dressed to wrestle, but management opted not to use him on TV. It's most interesting he wasn't used, as he was free and clear from his WWE Wellness Suspension.

So people that were annoyed at Sin Cara should be annoyed at Hunico since he wrestled at these tapings not Mistico. Matches have to be retapped sometimes and unfortunately it didn't click tonight, that doesn't mean that Hunico should now be fired.

I thought it was a SD of two halves, the first very good, the second very bad, the decline started with that awful KK match. The Khali-Jackson match even though I liked the finish was a terrible slow 1980's power match up and the main event was much poorer than their ss match, but I like that Sheamus got the win via count out to even up the score and keep the feud going.

1. Can't believe Troy you want to see Henry as World Champion, I have been quite down on Orton as of late, but surely he is a better choice for champion than Henry.

2. I don't get why they dropped the Barrett-Bryan feud, that was worth one more ppv at least.

3. Very good match between DB and Christian I guess they needed to give Christian the win going into Tuesday, but I am a bit concerned than Bryan has now lost four in a row.

1. I don't think I mentioned wanting Henry as champion in this thread. I said that he deserved the number one contender spot. In saying that I like the new version of Mark Henry and if he was a transitional champion I wouldn't mind.

2. I thought they would give it another PPV as well. Not sure what this new Barrett gimmick is about where he refuses to wrestle nobodies. Would prefer to see him involved in a proper feud, maybe when Kane returns Kane can put him over on PPV on Barrett's way to the mainevent?

3. As long as he has the MITB briefcase I think that Bryan is safe. Just look at how badly Del Rio was booked before he cashed it in, he barely wrestled even on RAW. With that briefcase they can easily push him back up the card if they really want to. Plus if they are booking him in the mainevent of WM then they still have eight months to push him.

Agree with 2...

Bryan needs to feud with Christian or someone, a former main eventer and actually go over to look like a credible threat for once he is at Wrestlemania. You'd also want Bryan over Orton later on and maybe Bryan over Henry. You've got to build him well and he needs a finisher other than a submission hold.

I actually enjoyed Zeke's Torture Rack on Khali, just make him into another Bobby Lashley and we'll be just fine.

There aren't that many options for Bryan to feud with. Christian I see feuding with Sheamus so I think Bryan will be left with someone like Rhodes or even Jinder Mahal.

The problem is that before Bryan won MITB he had already lost a lot of ground, I know they still have eight months, but surely they need to be giving him some wins, and building him up even if it is slowly. Also I don't get the logic of having him face Del Rio two weeks in a row for him to lose both matches, the pair are not in a long term feud, and it was not going to do that much harm to ADR to have him lose one of those matches.
