The Chase To Judgment Day
Vickie come out and stands her ground. The title is still vacant and 10 superstars are going to fight one on one tonight. The 5 winners get to go to a battle royal and the winner of that match faces The Undertaker at Judgment Day.
The first match is……
CM Punk vs. Matt Hardy
Some back and forth action dominates the beginning. Its short lived as Matt Hardy grabs Punk’s left arm and works on it. Punk gets back into it using his feet but Matt gets a hold of the arm again. We get some more back and forth action leading to a few finisher reversals but in the end, Matt Hardy gets a sneaky pin on him.
Winner: Matt Hardy
Match Rating: **1/2
Comments: Punk sold the fuck out of his arm it was a good match but why the fuck Is Punk still losing? I think HHHForever’s su♂♂♂♂ion of him snapping and turning heel may be true.
MVP vs. Finlay
MVP tries to jump Finlay but Finlay takes him down with a single leg. Back up and MVP takes Fit down with a single leg and we get some chain wrestling. Finlay takes MVP down with a side headlock and MVP gets mad. MVP is letting the Irishman get the best of him. Finlay shoots MVP into the corner and charges but MVP moves. With the wing now hurt MVP locks in a Fujiowa armbar and we go to commercial.
Back from the ads and MVP is still working down Finlay’s arm. No longer a Fuji bar (hmm that sounds good actually) but a downed top wrist lock. A boot sends Fit outside. Finlay gets the upper hand and sends him back in but another kick gives MVP the advantage. Montell uses all parts of the ring to get any kind of damage in he can, taking after Finlay. Back in the ring and MVP starts grinding in any kind of arm hold he can think of.
Finlay FINALLY gets back into it as he grabs a hold of MVPs leg and quad. This Is what Finlay needs as he grabs a half crab after a nasty slam and more of Finlay using the ring to injure the leg. The Irishman leaves a small opening and MVP locks in a keylock but Finlay wrenches MVPs quad. Finlay hits a back suplex into a pin and both mens arms are down and the ref counts them down.
Winner: No one
Match Rating: ***
Comments: Hey ref, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!? BOTH GUYS SHOULDERS ARE DOWN, YOU DONT GO FOR A GOD DAMNED PIN!!!! I really hate when people do this shit, and the WWE like to do it more than anyone else. It's seriously fucking dumb. :sport_box:
Natalya Neidhart vs. Kelly Kelly
This was essentially a squash as Kelly didn’t put up much of a fight. The divas seem to be getting better each week, even the eye candy like Kelly are actually TRYING to do something in ring, which is nice.
Winner: Nattie Neidhart
Match Rating: *3/4
Comments: This was a relatively soild match, but I’m anxious to see Nattie mix it up with someone who can go in the ring like Beth or Mickie.
Vickie Guerrero says since MVP and Finlay technically never lost, they are both in the final match.
Batista vs. John Morrison
Wait a second……let me say something……BWahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahaaha. Melina’s current fucktoy facing her former fucktoy while her daddy sits on the outside commentating. Who smells a triple threat!? Miz is told to stay back because I guess Johnny boy has a death wish. Morrison plays stick and move at the beginning but when tries to capitalize, the Animal takes over. The shaman of sexy outquicks Batista and the little man takes over. Morrison hits a nice missile dropkick almost gets the win. John locks in a sleeper but Batista powers out of it. Batista charges but gets drop toe holdeded into the turnbuckle. Morrison goes for his springboard kick but Batista just fucking DRILLS him into the mat with a spear. Shit. Then a Batista Bomb put John Morrison to bed.
Winner: Batista
Match Rating: **3/4
Comments: John Morrison steps up here. He really impressed me. If he has more matches like this, and continues not to be a jackass in the back, he is gonna be a star in the upper midcard very soon.
The Big Show vs. Tommy Dreamer
Oh did I call this shit or what!? I give it 2 minutes. Tommy looks like he wanted to throw hambones with Show. Ha. Idiot. Headbutt. Elbow drop. Chop. Oh some offense from Dreamer but into a chokeslam. Well I was right. That match didn’t last more than 2 minutes. HA!
Winner: The Big Show
Match Rating: *
Chavo Guerrero vs. Kane
Ok do we really need to see this match again? I hope Kane makes short work of this jumping bean……Kane actually almost wins outright but Chavo survives. Which is what youd expect. Chavo then starts working over the knee of Kane. He uses the apron, Bam Nealey and a bridging leg/neck lock. Kane mounts a comeback but his knee gives out a few times. Chavo goes for the whole enchilada but Kane goozles him. Chavo gets out of it, goes for a sunset flip but Kane counters and gets the win.
Winner: Kane
Match Rating: *3/4
Vladimir Kozlov vs. A jobber
Squash. Need I say more?
Winner: Vladimir
Match Rating: “I Must Break Youâ€
Batista vs. The Big Show vs. Kane vs. MVP vs. Finlay vs. Matt Hardy in a Number One Contender Over The Top Rope Challenge
The bell rings and everyone pairs off. Kane and Batista duke it out while everyone else goes for TBS until even they come over and get a piece of the big man. MVP is playing it smart, rolling in and out when he gets in trouble. Everyone is now going for Show and TBS repels them all. Everyone pairs off but Show decides he’s had enough and just starts running THROUGH people. Everyone gets that big size 98 ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ arm to the face and we go to commercial.
Back on SD and we see the belt…..ok….anyway, weve paired off again. Kane with Matt Hardy, Show with Batista and Finlay with MVP. Big Show stands on MVPs chest but Batista comes from behind and almost tosses him. Finlay has MVP teetering but a thumb to the eye takes care of that. We finally get our first casualty as MVP takes out rival Matt Hardy. Batista tries to tee off on Show but gets a big boot from the Big Show. Finlay is up over the head of Show and is about to go out but Batista spears TBS. Finlay grabs his shalayleigh and cracks everyone until Kane gives him a well placed big boot over the top. MVP goes for the big kick of his own on Batista but misses and goes over the top rope. Big Show eliminates Kane and we are down to two.
Batista is weak and Show is overbearing. Batista is getting hammered in the corner. Batista makes a little comeback but runs into a clothesline from The Big Show. Batista into the corner and in charges Show who gets drop toe holdeded into the turnbuckle. Batista tries for a Batista bomb but Show lifts him up. He tries to throw Batista out but Batista headscissors him over the top and Batista wins!
But before Batista can celebrate, Vickie comes out and says Edge has now been cleared to wrestle so he is now added to the Chase to Judgment Day.
As Edge is eyeing up the WHC a bolt of lighting strikes the podium it is on and it starts on fire. Nice!
Winner: Edge
Match Rating: ***
This was a lot better than last week. MOTN was the ME and fuck Edge in his ass. Anyway, I had a lot of fun watching SD this week. But I am still wondering why the hell they stripped Taker. I guess if they wanted another rematch, this was better than another few weeks of what wed been getting since Mania.
