Smackdown 8/29/14 results

[Rogue]

WWE taped the August 29, 2014 SmackDown episode from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California. Here are the SmackDown spoilers:​

Dark Matches

* R-Truth defeated Fandango.

* Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil. Xavier Woods was at ringside with Big E and Kofi, who worked as babyfaces.

WWE SmackDown

* SmackDown kicks off with Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt. Reigns wins by disqualification when Erick Rowan and Luke Harper attack him. The Wyatt Family beats Reigns down until Big Show and Mark Henry make the save. There were some people in the crowd upset because Bray didn’t mention Ontario in the intro to his entrance.

* Seth Rollins defeated Rob Van Dam.

* Paige defeated Emma. After the match, AJ Lee came out with a box of chocolates. This leads to Paige spitting a piece of candy back at Emma but AJ picks it up and eats it.

* Tonight’s main event is changed to a six-man match.

* Rusev defeated Jack Swagger after Bo Dallas caused interference. Bo attacked Swagger after the match.

* Jey Uso defeated Stardust. After the match, Stardust and Goldust beat down The Usos.

* Sheamus defeated Damien Sandow as The Miz again. The real Miz runs from Sheamus after the match but Dolph Ziggler comes out and throws him back in the ring. Miz dodges a Brogue Kick and runs through the crowd.

* Roman Reigns, Big Show and Mark Henry defeated The Wyatt Family in the main event. The babyfaces pose to end SmackDown.

[Red Rain]

Wow, impressive.
The Rhodes appear to be making a turn.
The Divas are interesting in a truly weird way.
Dallas and Swagger seem are being given a mid card ball. Are one or both flukish?
Reigns and Wyatt is a great start, though of course its turned into a tag to give Henry/Show the rub. It's good the match had a definitive finish.

This leads to Paige spitting a piece of candy back at Emma but AJ picks it up and eats it.​

Well it's nice to see Emma, at least. But seriously, wtf is this storyline with Paige and AJ?

If it made too much sense, we wouldn't be interested. Does that make sense?
If this feud were more vanilla, I would eagerly bypass it. However, the oddity of this feud makes it compelling.
Sometimes, you can do more with two women than you can with two men. This 'fluidity' as well as Steph's power stroke put this feud front and center for us to wonder about.

Just done watching this episode. Like The Duke would say, it was typical/10
- Some fun moment during th ME, though

Sandow getting some exposure vs Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus in the same week, me likey that.

Reigns vs Wyatt would have been quite a spectacle if I weren't tied up.
Of course it did end in DQ. Typical.
