Full disclosure: I decided to join this forum to help the my sociological study of WWE and its fandom for a podcast. I promise I have no bad intentions and I'm not looking for anything weird, I just want to have a better idea about what your subculture is like.
I do consider myself a fan of WWE, I've been watching it on and off for the last 15 years since my friend forced me to watch Raw with him when his girlfriend wouldn't… It was either that or DBZ and I couldn't stand another night of DBZ. I immediately liked it but I indulge in it like I do most soap operas, I watch for a couple months each year because the more confused I am the more entertaining it seems.
I never joined a forum like this because they are male-dominated and as a woman when I engage in fandom I would rather do it someplace female dominated if only to avoid harassment. Not to say that I'm accusing the allowance of that behavior here, it's just the reason I needed a valid excuse to give it a shot.
Anyway, I won't be a nuisance.
