The pay-per-view is $49.95 to purchase Slammiversary, and this is one day after New Japan had its G1 Climax on AXS (in the same city) at no additional charge. I'm not sure whether Impact is brave or just plain dumb to have its ppv in Dallas the day after NJPW held its G1 in Dallas. Impact hasn't done anything to revive fans interest in its brand ever since Jeff Jarrett took over the company. The ratings were so low that POP Network, of all networks, canceled the show. Michael Elgin is a stiff, hard-hitting wrestler but I think his matches in NJPW which was aired for free is much better than the fifty dollars Impact is charging to watch his match against Brian Cage. I was taken aback Impact would have the nerve to charge fifty dollars when it hasn't been drawing much customer interest to its brand in years.

I think the weekly shows have improved recently and there are still many wrestlers and good storylines. That company always was a rollercoaster ride between put on real good shows and then downright awful a few months later, but it has been consistent for a while now since it just became "Impact Wrestling" instead of TNA or GFW. I think the vice presidents Scott D'amore and Don Callis have been helping a lot.
