Sounds dreadful.

Family Guy is probably one of the worst things to ever happen to this world

I call trainwreck. Simpsons is nowhere near as good as it was between season 3-11 but is still quality TV. Family Guy is dog shit.

No doubt that this will be a big pile of crap but that's all the more reason for me to watch it. Going to love watching this with my brother and making fun of it the entire way through or at the very least, for twenty minutes after it ends.

On a more positive note, a Simpsons/Futurama crossover has also been confirmed at Comic-con . . .

When asked if this was really the end, Groening and Cohen said they both had more Futurama stories to tell. Fans also have a Futurama crossover to look forward to in the upcoming season of The Simpsons.

Now this I'm looking forward to because this has the possibility to be utter crap or good. Considering Futurama is one of my all-time favorite shows (having seen all of the revival but from what I've seen, it isn't as consistently good as the original run [even having some god-awful episodes] but they're still capable of pulling off something amazing like with The Late Philip J Fry) and even though I've thought Simpsons has sucked for the longest time, Futurama is enough to get me to look into that one.
