I'm very happy with the way Morrison and Shelton came across on TV. But watching it got me thinking... If they can put a match like that on PPV, with no title on the line, and just a solid wrestling match, could they have or should they have put a match for the US Title on the PPV?
Thsi PPV seemed to feature some matches we don't usually see on PPV, like Morrison/Benjamin, Punk/Umaga, and it made the PPV better. I think that after what happened on Raw the past few weeks between MVP and Regal, and what happened this past week with Kofi and Matt Hardy getting involved, it could've been on the PPV. It would've given us another solid wrestling match, as well as continued their four-man feud, as well as just making everyoen involved seem more important.
Thoughts? I'm not complaining, I'm happy with the PPV so far, and it doesn't really bother me, but anyone else think it'd be nice if it was on the PPV?

Hell no. CM Punk vs Umaga is a grade above the possible Fatal Four Way so it makes sense it was on PPV, while John Morrison vs Shelton was a last minute addition.

Besides, why exactly would it be a Fatal Four Way? MVP/Kingston vs Regal/Hardy would make more sense.

I never said they would have to take Umaga vs Punk or Morrison/Shelton out. Those two matches were great. But time permitting, it wouldn't have hurt to also have it in.

Nah, the tag match would be more likely to happen on Raw. Fatal four way would make the title seem more important.
Meh, like I said, it's not a big deal. Just tossing it out there as a match that could've made a very good PPV even better...

And I am not saying that the 4way would have been in instead of those matches. I am aluding to what you said comparing Morrison vs Benjamin and Punk vs Umaga managing to get PPV time with the possibility of the Fatal Four Way also getting PPV time.

Yeah, but I'd consider it kinda pointless and senseless, as none of the three have done anything to deserve a US title match, and it would be a pretty random match.

However, I do agree with the premise of this thread. I see more possible now than ever minor feuds getting PPV time. You knew feuds involving the midcard never would go pass TV. Now, you never know.

While I would like to see the match I don't think this PPV would have been right for it, the card was already pretty stacked and the MVP stuff hadn't really been built up to much. I think they should build the four up over the next month and throw them in a match at Night of Champions, that would be better suited as then they would have all been built up on RAW and the payoff at the PPV would be good and everyone would most likely benefit from it.

Either that or just keep it as MVP/Regal or something, because at that PPV somebody is gonna have to face MVP and those would be good match ups.

I was surprised that they even added the Morrison/Benjamin match to the ppv. That match was great. It was in the Top 3 of the night. Punk and Umaga's match was good too. I didn't see it all but from what I saw/read, it was good. You don't get many non title mid card matches (possibly upper-mid card) matches on ppv's like that much any more (from what I can remember any way).

But as for the match/guys you said, I think they should get a ppv match, but now would be too early. It would need some more build-up time. Next ppv would be good if it had a good build it, but not at Judgement day.

They could have cut the Fiz/Santino segment, but that shit was funny so Im not in favor of it. At the same time I was upset that MVP wasnt on the show in some capacity.
