This is the question not only I have thought of but others to.

The answer to that question should be 100% YES, instead of wasting talent that clearly have the potential to be a mid-card/top contenders in the industry, push them back down to NXT, for them to work on a new gimmick and get given the bookings they deserve. I can't stress this enough anymore

Ziggler
Zayn
Tye

and many more underrated, talented superstars should be put back to NXT to adapt on new things for them to get the attraction of the WWE Universe and potnetially be a top contending wrestler.

What are your thoughts?

Yep, although some would see that as a promotion.

Yeah, also I heard rumors of main roster wrestlers being drafted to NXT in a near future.

Would make sense for some of the guys yeah. Not sure if Tye can get any more over. It's just him not getting opportunities, whenever he shows up its '10 10 10 10'. The universe is for sure behind him but it's a shame Vince doesn't like him so he's getting treated like shit.

I don't nesasarly like the word "draft" since even though NXT is better than the Main Roster in my opinion, I don't see it as a brand, but yes. People with no direction or momentum usually get fired, but people like that should go to NXT instead

that'd be a tough pill to swallow but the only person that really reached that level is Ziggler. Zayn and Tye are too fresh and still have really good chances of being over acts on the main roster whilst Ziggler has fallen more times than he has risen in his 13 year career. And it's not like sending people down to NXT will magically make them a better or a bigger deal.. like, it would still depend on Ziggler being willing to change and evolve as a character, which is something he's been refusing for the past 2-3 years now

Don't people get sent back to NXT like The Ascension and others?
Surprisingly enough, no, they just fade away into the back round and show up randomly to lose. Ascension are great examples of people who should go to NXT though

Ziggler, Zayn, and Tye just don't have "it"

There's too many other guys that are way more marketable than them

NXT being a third brand makes like no sense to me it's just developmental at the end of the day. I understand sending back the younger talent who haven't really connected and need to be repackaged or something like that. However using NXT to dump unused/unwanted talent is stupid because if anything they'd just be taking spots from new developing talent. Ziggler and talent like him who've been underutilized and undercut for years just need to ask for their release and try their luck somewhere else. Dillinger has to find his footing with creative but even when he does his ceiling is pretty low. Sami Zayn is literally one angle away from being a top star, creative just can't get enough of him Vs. Owens for whatever reason.

Yes this is my logic for this thread, is it necessary going to work its own magic if we send these guys to NXT?? There's a good chance but like SWL said it comes down to the wrestler evolving their character also. If you just send a misused/uncreative superstars to a lower level show (that's not an insult), then think of what you're going to change about them. I truly believe the problem is WWE is having the worst time booking and creating stories because these 3 guys and others should NOT have any trouble going out to the ring and showcasing their talents. I also believe that in WWE's way of thinking is they wanted to bring all the fan favorite wrestlers up to the main rosters but they forgot that based on how they run their shows today, they can't focus on all these other talents. So what happens while the same 12 to 15 superstars are always in the spotlight getting the better stories and better booking, the others just are given matches where they're run all over or silly little gimmicks that have no longevity. And this is going to continue to happen over and over again until WWE ends the cycle or come up with ways to give majority of the 2 rosters their proper pushes.

Like said, that would be hard for someone to accept.

I have little doubt that Ziggler would leave if asked to go down to NXT.

Also, it takes a lot of people to staff the live shows every week. Lots more than can make it on TV every week. Just because they are not on TV doesn't mean they are not making a lot of money doing live shows.
