Well I'm a Freshman and my High School Wrestling season has started. I loved the real wrestling, but my coaches and practices and demanding schedule has made me hate it. I do not want to, but I have too in my mind. If i quit I will have the team decide my fate if I choose to come back the next year. What do you think I should do?

Why the fuck would you do something you don't want to do, especially when you HATE it?

EDIT- And it's not like a job where you HAVE to do it or get fired. Seems like a pretty logical choice to me.

I'm already doing like 2-3 other sports. So pat on the back i no need. ;) And besides, I might change my mind in the future and not be able to come back though, I want your opinion before I decide my fate at the end of the week.

Don;t quit. I just got back from practice, and im pooped. Its tiring and the schedule is demanding, but being booked every saturday is just something you do on the team. I got a lot skinnier after last year, and the chicks do love it.

I say, stay on the team.

On other information to decide your choice. My practices are 3 hours. I have them Monday-Saturday even on Snow days and holiday breaks. Our coach said if anyone misses a practice they have to make it up on Sunday. We barely get a water break, and our coach is very demanding for tardiness. Let's say I missed a practice for having a doctor's appointment, he'll kick me off. And along with that, I had to go on vacation for thanksgiving break, by last minute. So my coach doesn't know, plus i was supposed to tell him this 3 weeks ago. So he will be pissed and nothing i say will make him better. In fact, he will get madder.

If you have any doubt at all about being on the wrestling team, then I say its time to go. I had the same feelings about football, I finished the season but didn't play the next as I moved on to something better (hockey).

I would quit if I were you. If the schedule and the demanding practices is starting to get to you, then just let it go

Firstly, get your priorities straight. Is it worth it? Do you like it more than other sports?

Secondly, talk to your coach. We obviously can't understand the circumstances and the way you feel about it over the 'net very well, so yeah, chat to the coach 'bout it.

My coach isn't the friendly guy. Well not to most of his wrestlers. But he will not care about if one wrestler leaves. He will not change the practice because It's starting to affect me mentally and physically. Even though I'm starting on his second team varsity.

Hmm, that's tough then. I'd really just say talk to your father or someone like that about it, or make the choice. Wrestling, or the other sports you play. It doesn't sound like you can do all of them with this kind of practice.

Well it's a Winter Sport and If I don't do Wrestling I got no other Winter Sport to turn to except Bowling, which is a no for me.

Football, Rugby, and/or Track are the 2/3 I would be playing. Plus I can do stuff to get in shape during Winter.

I wrestle, 36-4 last year (freshman) and 1-0 (sophmore) this year, honestly I sweat all over the mat the entire practice, the room is already 95 degrees, but just stick it out man. Work for the team, because honestly your goona lose respect from people for pussing out. Just true. Don't do it

The words"has made me hate it" says it all. Quit, you don't want to do it, so just quit and move on:)
You like wrestling, but it seems it's too much for you rigt now, so you should quit until you ifnd oiut if you really want to devote that much time to it.
