Simply what I mean is that Sheamus is the most improved wrestler of 2011 just like The Miz was in 2010.

If you compare the two careers. The Miz for a long time played a very annoying comedy character who just seemed out of his depth in wrestling and had a number of forgettable matches and feuds. But the last couple of years he has slowly improved. I think the change started when he was feuding with ex-partner John Morrison, and it was clear he was the more entertaining and cutting edge of the two. Then in 2010 he had the year of his career, really building on his awesome heel character, his matches also improved, the US Title win helped, but it was MITB which really gave him that final push, and then he had the fantastic feud and matches with Daniel Bryan, and of course became WWE Champion before the end of the year. And the work The Miz put in to go from what he was post-Tough Enough to the talent he is now, is so much down to his commitment.

Sheamus I have not been a big fan of since his debut. I thought his matches were mostly sloppy, he was carried to respectable matches by HHH last year, and he never convinced me as a monster heel, just thought his interviews were cheesy and bland, and he was never scary enough. But this year he has come a long way, and in recent weeks he has entered some very strong performances. He carried Sin Cara to one of his better matches to date and he did a good job of getting a decent match out of Mark Henry at Summerslam. And now in this new direct babyface, I see him with a more interesting character, and getting over much more over with the fans. Now possible here is a guy who can become a regular main eventer for years to come.

So Sheamus is The Miz of 2011 IMO:tongue1:

So who do you see becoming The Sheamus of 2012?

I don't think that the two can be compared. Miz slowly worked his way up the card from being the annoying Smackdown host to ECW mainstay to finally singles star. Sheamus on the other hand simply had a terrible last twelve months. I rated Sheamus highly since his debut, on ECW he had some very good matches with Goldust and I liked the character he played on RAW when he went into the mainevent. He had good matches with Cena and HHH and it was only since his KOTR that he went backwards and he has only recovered from that since turning face on Smackdown a month or two ago. He is back to where he should be and I am glad that he is back near the mainevent but again I don't think his 2011 is similar to The Miz's at all.

Yes, but he was carried to decent matches by Triple H, at that time Sheamus was very green still, didn't see the matches with Cena, but can't think they would be very good.

I wasn't making a compasion, just that The Miz was the most improved wrestler last year and Sheamus I think has become that this year.

But I don't think that Sheamus has had a good year this year and has only been good for a month or two. The rest of the year looks promising for Sheamus but at the moment I wouldn't have him as the most improved.

I would actually have R-Truth as the most improved wrestler of 2011 so far. It has helped that he has been able to wrestle matches that have lasted longer that five minutes but he has been much more impressive in the ring this year than in years past.

Can't agree about R-Truth, sure I have found his heel character quite entertaining, but it didn't take it long to get boring, and as a wrestle he is still poor.
