Source: f4wonline.comNBA legend Shaquille O'Neal's return to AEW looks to be on the horizon.
During Thursday night's edition of Inside the NBA on TNT, O'Neal was asked when he'll be wrestling again. "Soon. This summer," O'Neal replied.
O'Neal was asked about returning to pro wrestling by fellow Inside the NBA panelist Kenny Smith after a wrestling GIF was shown in a tweet that was read on the show.
O'Neal made his AEW debut on the March 3 episode of Dynamite earlier this year. He teamed with Jade Cargill to defeat Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet in a mixed tag match. Cargill pinned Red Velvet to win the match.
Leading into the finish of the mixed tag match, Cody took out Shaq with a crossbody through two tables. There was then a post-match angle where O'Neal was loaded into an ambulance. But when Tony Schiavone opened the ambulance door to speak with O'Neal and get an update on his condition, O'Neal wasn't in the ambulance anymore.
O'Neal's AEW debut was the second match that he's ever wrestled in. His in-ring debut was as an entrant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WWE WrestleMania 32 in 2016. O'Neal had previously appeared on WWE, WCW, and TNA Wrestling programming.
