According to Dave Meltzer, it is being reported that Shane McMahon recently had a meeting at the UFC offices. When asked for more information, Dana White responded with:

Stay tuned for more updates.

The publicity UFC could get in the wrestling world with a MCMAHON on board would be immense.

If he is going to the UFC, I am not exactly sure now about his leaving WWE or not unless he thinks that wrestling as is has dropped and on its way out and UFC is the next big thing in entertainment. Even still, I have to wonder if this happens if it is in fact a great move or something more lateral.

You have to think that he could have left after a conversation about the future of WWE and if Shane would have a slice of it whatsoever. That's what I believe anyways, he was told that he wouldn't get anything so he told daddy to go fuck himself.

Hostile takeover.

Shane gets hired on with UFC, muscles Dana White out after a time and helps arrange the sale of the UFC to Vince McMahon. [/Gribble]

I hope it did happen. Would be great to see McMahon vs. McMahon.

Good for Shane. He probably wants to carve his own path, rather than continue to walk the one his father made for him.

With all the negativity towards UFC lately (skeptical judge calls, etc) does UFC really need a MCMAHON, Kings of Fake Entertainment themselves, on board? I don't know if this is such a good idea.

I personally believe Shane is going in there, probably going to get a smaller job, but he just wants to see how it works and what it takes to succeed, then he tries to take over and if he gets fired he can go somewhere else and duplicate it since he would have enough knowledge of how it works.
