Yup. Said it when he returned. He was only back to beef up Mania cuz half the main eventers were injured. He never had intentions on staying.

It was clear from the get-go that he was only being brought back because so many were injured and they thought adding some good old McMahon family drama to the mix would be enough to help spawn more interest and intrigue to the card itself. Not like I wanted to see any scenario where Shane McMahon defeated The Undertaker anyway, but at least we got one last great moment of Shane doing something spectacular with that elbow drop from the top of the cell.
