Former interim UFC heavyweight champion, Shane Carwin has today revealed how he’s continuing to rehab the knee injury he suffered a month ago in training, an injury he’s confident of overcoming ahead of a December showdown with Roy Nelson in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Carwin said:

“The rehab people are confident, and my strength and conditioning coach is confident. It’s just limited on some of the things I can train right now. Hopefully, by the time the fight comes, the adrenaline picks up and you don’t feel anything anyway. I’m positive about being able to fight.â€

Carwin, a former interim heavyweight champion, hasn’t been seen since UFC 131 last June when he lost to Junior dos Santos via unanimous decision. Back injuries have forced him out of regular competition, meaning he’s competed twice in the last two years. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.

Has anybody on here even been watching TUF? I've seen a few of the episodes, and Carwin's team is winning right now. Think I'll end up siding with Big Country when these two fight though.

I started out watching it... but then I just sorta got to the point when I didn't care and started missing a bunch of episodes.

I'm only interested in seeing this fight cause I've been waiting to watch a Carwin fight for so long and Big Country always brings it when he fights and can absorb so much abuse.

Can't stand watching TUF anymore, the fighters are not that talented anymore and I don't give a shit about what they do in a house.

The fights are boring now.

I am another that is over TUF, I try to watch it each year but I am just bored of it now.

Looking forward to the fight though because Nelson surprised me last fight with that KO and it has been so long since Carwin fought. Amazed that he has been gone for more than 20 PPVs.
