The next entry in the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament is a man who has been turning heads across the country in preliminary matches against some of Ring of Honor’s rising stars. SHAHEEM ALI made his debut in a ROH ring in January 2015 after catching the attention of ROH officials at a camp conducted at the World Famous Monster Factory. ALI is the next participant in the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament!
The Voice of Ring of Honor Kevin Kelly was impressed by Ali’s ability to connect with crowds and draw from the energy they provide. “Brutal” Bob Evans was left stunned by the 6’2”, 230 lbs Ali’s combination of fluidity, light feet, and power. Through ROH training camps, Ali continued to make his mark and earn opportunities at Field of Honor 2015, as well as live events in Chicago, IL, California, PA, and Dayton, OH.
Ali has the ability to light up the room with his smile and energy, a trait opponents take for granted. After losing his mother, Ali has refocused and rededicated himself to professional wrestling, supplementing his training at the World Famous Monster Factory with time at the ROH Dojo. Ali uses quick strikes, including a bevy of side, axe, and spinning wheel kicks to earn victories.
Ali has come within milliseconds of defeating ROH stars like Joey Daddiego and Will Ferrara but may be saving his biggest wins for this year’s Top Prospect Tournament! After competing in the most talked about Future of Honor match of the year against Jonathan Gresham, Ali will get the chance to put a signature victory on his ledger in Charlotte and has the potential to leave Nashville with a ROH contract!
