Shadows Fall announced the formation of their own label in conjunction with Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group and Ferret Music. The band will release their sixth studio album this fall.

Lead singer Brian Fair has this to say about his band's new venture:

"All of us in Shadows Fall could not be more excited about our new working relationship with ILG and Ferret Records. We have always been a band that tried to maintain as much control over our career as possible and this new deal gives us just that. The music industry is changing drastically and to stay one step ahead we knew we needed a new business model and perspective. By combining the forces of ILG, Ferret Music and Channel Zero we have created a ‘Justice League Of Metal'!!"

More details coming soon.

Ugh, I don't know what the hell to think about Shadows Fall.
The Art Of Balance was definately promising and was really for my bet one of the albums that really ushered in the New Wave of American Heavy Metal

They kinda slowed pace on War Within

I honestly had no fucking clue they even released Fallout From the War. That album was simply a contractual thing that they owed their old label one more album and shit it out in around a month.

Threads Of Life seemed like they were clawing a little too hard to reach back where there were on TAOB and seemed incredibly forced.

I think Shad's weak leak is honestly Brian. I was never into his voice and obviously Phil Labonte (All That Remains) was a far superior vocality and a better fit for the type of music. Brian is very into basic punk andhardcore...as shown by his other band Overcast.
I suppose I'll check out the new release when it comes. Hopefully they get their shit together because MUSICALLY they do have a lot of potential. Donais and Bachland are helluva guitarists and Bittner is a beat on the drums. As cold as it sounds I really think a new vocalist would do a lot for them.
