GOLDEN, Colo. -- A serial rapist who attacked women across the metro area is going to prison for the rest of his life.
On Friday, a judge sentenced Marc O'Leary to 327.5 years to life in prison.
O'Leary pleaded guilty in October to sex assaults in Aurora, Golden, Lakewood and Westminster. The charges included sexual assault, burglary, aggravated robbery, assault, menacing with a deadly weapon and kidnapping. Under a plea bargain, he pleaded guilty to 28 of 39 counts. The other 11 counts were dismissed.
Authorities said a search of O'Leary's home turned up a camera memory card with photos he took of the assaults using a camera on a timer.
Investigators also said that O'Leary tried to eliminate evidence after assaulting his victims. Investigators said O'Leary made his victims brush their teeth and shower. He also allegedly removed bed covers and clothing -- taking the items with him -- and hid their phones so they couldn't call police, investigators said.
O'Leary is also a suspect in two sex assaults in Washington state before he moved to Colorado in 2009.
