AEW roster member and current NWA Women's Champion Serena Deeb gave a social media update on a left knee injury she recently suffered.
In a tweet, she said she had a scope done and that it went "really well" and "will be back before you know it."
It's unknown when the 34-year-old was injured, but she was favoring her knee in her sole Women's title eliminator tournament match. In the February 17th loss to Riho, AEW doctor Michael Sampson was seen working on her knee during a commercial break. The veteran wanted to continue and was able to finish the well-received fifteen minute match.Update on my knee...I had a scope done and it went really well. I’ll be back before you know it. Thank you all for the support and concern. pic.twitter.com/AzGVpwsxNf

Since signing with the company in September, Deeb has averaged two matches a month and only three times this year. With the NWA announcing a return to TV tapings in late-March, it's unclear if their Women's Champion will be ready to defend the title when they resume.
