SmackDown LIVE preview, June 13, 2017: Superstars clash in six-man showdown on last stop before WWE Money in the Bank
With five days left before WWE Money in the Bank, tensions are rising on SmackDown LIVE. Tonight, the six Superstars in the life-changing ladder match will square off in Six-Man Tag Team action, as AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura & Sami Zayn battle Kevin Owens, Baron Corbin & Dolph Ziggler. Don’t miss a second of the action, tonight at 8/7 C on USA Network!
As Sunday’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view draws near, tensions are rising between the six competitors in the marquee Ladder Match. With AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler trading victories, Shinsuke Nakamura besting Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin demolishing WWE’s Rockstar and Sami Zayn in recent weeks, momentum is at a premium.
Though it will be every man for himself during Sunday’s battle, these six Superstars will compete in a huge Six-Man Tag Team Match on SmackDown LIVE. Who will be victorious when Styles, Nakamura & Zayn battle Owens, Corbin & Ziggler?
Mahal and Orton come face to face before WWE Title rematch
The stakes are incredibly high in the WWE Championship Match at WWE Money in the Bank. For Randy Orton, it’s a chance to redeem himself and claim his 14th World Championship in his hometown of St. Louis after his shocking loss to Jinder Mahal at WWE Backlash. For The Modern-Day Maharaja, it’s the opportunity to cement himself as WWE Champion after surprising the WWE Universe (and The Viper).
But before they step in the ring for SmackDown LIVE’s top prize on Sunday, Mahal and Orton will come face to face in New Orleans. Will The Big Easy be able to contain these two intense rivals when they’re in the same ring tonight?
New Day & Breezango join forces for Eight-Man Tag Team Match
Last Tuesday, The New Day went to SmackDown LIVE’s Fashion Police for some background info on their WWE Money in the Bank opponents, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. After accepting The New Day’s offer of male rompers, Breezango turned over their files and seemed ready to take on a new case.
However, before they can move on, Tyler Breeze and Fandango will be teaming up with The New Day to take on The Usos & The Colons in a huge Eight-Man Tag Team Match. Will the No. 1 contenders and the Fashion Police vanquish their opponents, or will The Usos & The Colons stand tall heading into WWE Money in the Bank?
Can Tamina pin Naomi again?
Though it came with a shocking assist from Lana, Tamina pinned SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match, giving her a ton of momentum heading into the first-ever Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match this Sunday.
Tamina will get the opportunity to prove herself again this week on SmackDown LIVE when she takes on Naomi in non-title action. Will she make it two in a row?
Charlotte Flair and Natalya square off before historic Women’s Money in the Bank
With the historic Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match drawing near, Charlotte Flair and Natalya will square off in singles competition tonight on SmackDown LIVE. There is no love lost between these two, as Natalya formed her “welcoming committee” to make The Queen’s life miserable following her arrival on Team Blue.
Which Superstar will get the upper hand heading into Sunday’s history-making Money in the Bank Ladder Match? Find out tonight on SmackDown LIVE at 8/7 C on USA Network!
