MoviePilot.com reports that actor Liev Schreiber has been tapped to play Chris Benoit in a movie about the tragic double murder-suicide. The movie is titled Crossface and is written by Sarah Coulter.
The movie will reportedly cover Benoit's life from the early days in his career through the final days of his life where he murdered his son and wife. Several WWE stars including Triple H and Vince McMahon will be portrayed.
Here is a photo of Schreiber:

Schreiber as Benoit? Nice.

For those who ain't familiar with Schreiber he's an actor known for his role as Sabertooth in the Wolverine movie, and for roles in Hitler: Rise of Evil, the manchurian candidate, Goon & the Butler and for stage work. He's a fine actor.

The Benoit movie sounds interesting.

WWE will obviously not have anything to do with the movie but it will be interesting to see if the writer and director actually can get the roles of Vince and Hunter cast and not get assaulted by WWE lawyers.

I'll always know Liev Schreiber as Cotton from the Scream trilogy.

And meh to this idea. I typically don't like movies based on actual people like this, I'd rather just see them done in documentary/biographic style.

I heard about them releasing that movie ages ago. Glad it's coming out soon.
