What happened to these? I just noticed that these have been becoming more and more less common over the years. Anyone miss them? I remember when they first came back, they were pretty frequent. From March (basically april) 2006, when it first came back, until August 07 (16 months), they had 4 episodes. Since then though, in what would be 21 months and countin, there's only been 1 episode of it. I also noticed a decline in the quality of them...
In the first one back, we had Cena and Triple H vs Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, and Randy Orton, JBL vs Austin (Beer drinking), a divas match, and a sick street fight between Shane McMahon and HBK.
In the second back, we had Batista, Rey and Lashley vs Booker T, Finlay, and Mark Henry, Carlito and Trish vs MNM, DX vs Spirit Squad, Extreme Rules between Sabu and Stevie Richards, and Edge vs Cena for the WWE title.
The third one began to suck though. We had Khali vs Cena, Lashley vs Mark Henry, Batista/Benoit vs MVP/Edge, Finlay/Little Bastard vs Two Boogeymen, and Kane, Doink the Clown and Eugene vs Kevin Thorn, Viscera, and Umaga.
The fourth wasn’t much better. We had Cena vs Carlito, CM Punk and Boogeyman vs Morrison and Viscera, Batista and Kane vs Finlay and Khali, and Evander Holyfield vs Mat Hardy.
The most recent –the fifth- wasn’t bad. It had JBL, Kane and Priceless vs Cena, Batista, and Cryme Tyme. It also had Khali vs Jimmy Wang Yang, and Edge vs Jeff Hardy

So yea, anyone think theys hould have these come back more often, or does the addition of Superstars mean it's not needed?

Match of the Year.

But yeah, I don't think these really had a point in the modern era and in the last few years they've fallen to the standard of an ordinary show anyways.

Funny you should bring this up because yesturday I was looking at buying the DVD Collection of them all with all the best matches/segments and everything, t was quite cheap and the old stuff looks really good, the only match from the latest ones was Cena Vs Edge I think.

With Superstars now being on, I really don't see the point of having SNME anymore, Superstars is pretty much SNME except its once a week and an hour long. It's just a shorter edition that happens more regularly tbh.

I was thinking the same also. I sure do miss em well if they were live. If they were taped it usually sucked but if it's like the come back SNME(wrestlemania 22 hype ore the edge vs Cena main event) yeah I missed them.
