Where'd this go? Seriously? They said they'd bring it back in 2006, then they slightly peppered the year with like two of them at completly random times. The last time it came up was I think pre-Summerslam I'm sure. The best SNME imo was the first one to bring back the special. The one two weeks from WM 22.

This show seems to have lost its prestige to me though. The cards have been bogus, from **** street fights to arm wrestling matches? Do you guys see one happening this year before WM?

WWE fucks the SNME tradition after the last 3 shows, I agree the 1st one right before WM22 was amazing and the 2nd before Summerslam 06, was good too, after that just a random boring show.

I think the last SNME was a charity event . WWE "teamed up" with various celebrities to "grapple" autism. I forgot who was on the card.

It had Edge vs Hardy as its main event.

Being taped and the lousy cards killed the event.

There was one in the summer.
I agree though, they fuck it up with awful cards. It's too bad, I always liked SNME (obviously I wasnt around in the 80's) but when they brought it back, I liked it as a special. At least the first few...

what the WWE was trying to recreate with SNME when they brought it back was the 80's vibe. It was way cleaner and less controversial than Raw or SD, lots of things they did were more fun than serious wrestling. but with wrestling obviously different than it was in the 80's, I don't see a point for it unless they push some new storylines there instead of just having joke segments.
