Show report from a guy who referred to himself as "Big Dan"
Bar was pretty damn full to be honest with you. Don West hyped the crowd up before the show with drinking games and yelling, and let slipped that several talents are scheduled to debut tonight.
The opening match was Rey Mysterio vs. Jushin "Thunder" Liger in a League Of Flippy Guys match. JR mentioned on commentary during the entrances that this Fridays show will feature 4 matches in the league. Mysterio scored the win in about 8 minutes by Dropping The Dime. Post match, both man shook hands, as one fan audibly yelled "don't be a pussy and hit him!"
Eddie Kingston vs. Zack Sabre Jr. was next. Sabre is a great hold for hold wrestling, and you could see Kingston getting progressively pissed off, especially as his arm work would make the Backfist more difficult. Kingston held on and hit Sliding D for the win. Post match, Sabre cut a promo saying that it's clear he needs some back up in this place, otherwise a naive Brit kid like him could get picked apart. He introduced the audience to his friend, "BASTARD" DAVE MASTIFF, and promised that him and Mastiff are here to drink and fight anyone lined up against them.
Before the next match, Bryce Remsburg took the mic to announce that the bar owner has hired a Bar Manager to take charge of in ring proceedings from this point. The new Bar Manager will present the winner of the "Beer & Boobs" match with their prize later tonight.
Kalisto vs. Ricochet was next. Fun match, but unfortunately went the 15 minute time limit. The second draw of the league so far. After tonight's matches, Mysterio leads the league on 9 points, but is one match ahead of everyone else.
Time for Team #Lift vs. Michael Elgin and his mystery partner! The Team #Lift entrance is truly a sight to behold, workout music and a mini workout in the ring pre match. Elgin introduces his partner for this match, UHAA NATION!
Michael Elgin & Uhaa Nation def. Team #Lift after an Elgin Bomb to Chris Masters in about 13 minutes. Post match, Elgin was lining up a backfist for Brian Cage when he was attacked from behind by LEX LUGAR! The Total Package then hoisted Nation into the Torture Rack and then released him into a Burning Lariat from Cage! Luger left the ring with Team #Lift, what an addition to the team!
Maria Kanellis made her way to the ring next criticise the audience and call them a bunch of losers who could only dream of scoring someone like her. She introduced her team of The Kingdom, featuring her man Michael Bennett & Adam Cole, & their partner Drew Galloway. Kanellis promised everyone would see why Bennett is superior to Punk in every single way.
The Kingdom & Drew Galloway vs. The Second City Saints & Hiroshi Tanahashi went to a non-contest after the referee lost control of the match. Galloway and Cabana brawled out of the building after Galloway spat at the bar girl, enraging Cabana. Tanahashi & Cole were battling in the ring until Bennett nailed Tanahashi with a low blow. Punk got him some of The Kingdom and threatened to GTS Maria, until Bennett broke it up. Bennett locked Punk in the Anaconda Vice. Mid lock, Maria took off her heels and hit Punk in the dick heel first, drawing groans from the audience, with several needing to sit down for a bit after., Kanellis & Bennett made out in the ring after and left with Cole as Punk writhed in the ring.
Tazz defeated Low Ki with a school boy in a hard hitting match, with the fight heading into the crowd repeatedly. Ki was fuming in the ring post match.
Bryce Remsburg confirmed that Cabana & Galloway were arrested outside the building. Donations for their bail would be gladly accepted.
"Beer & Boobs" Elimination Match: Team Nakamura def. Team Gargano. Order of elimination:
- Jimmy Rave eliminated ACH after Abyss snuck in and hit a Black Hole Slam.
- Jack Evans eliminated Jimmy Rave after Abyss attacked Rave, leading to Roderick Strong saving his tag partner and nailing Rave with End Of Heartache.
- Roderick Strong was eliminated not long after following the spike tombstone piledriver by the Young Bucks
- The Young Bucks then eliminated Jack Evans with a double superkick
- Finlay eliminated Shinsuke Nakamura following a shillelagh to the head.
- Nick Jackson eliminated Finlay after Nakamura ran back in and attacked Finlay with a chair.
- Matt Jackson eliminated Dave Taylor following More Bang For Your Buck
- Johnny Gargano eliminated Nick Jackson with a roll up.
- Matt Jackson eliminated Johnny Gargano after interference from Nick Jackson to be the sole survivor.
Post match, Nakamura, Rave, Prince Nana & Abyss returned to the ring to collect their beer when....
THE SANDMAN IS THE NEW BAR MANAGER, GOD HELP US ALL.
Sandman dealt out canings for everyone, and kept the beer for himself, because of course.
In the main event, Samoa Joe defeated Kazuchika Okada with the Musclebuster/Coquina Clutch combo. Really good battle, neither man wanted to lose. Joe kicked out of the Rainmaker towards the end.
Post match, all hell broke loose. As Joe soaked in the adulation, BROCK LESNAR appeared in the aisle, scaring some guys nearby into sobriety. Lesnar circled the ring ready to attack when "Flight Of The Valkries" hit and DANIEL BRYAN to the ring to back Joe up. Lesnar left ringside before anything else happened with a big grin on his face.
